I have a tendency to avoid things I am not very good at, poetry being one of them. I have always been told "practice makes perfect," so what you're about to read is my practice. I am hoping that improvement will be shown with each poem, but I guess we will find out as I go.

The title of this story is part of a line from a Mayday Parade song, Amber Lynn. The song itself doesn't have a particular meaning to me, but I feel like poems and dreams are similar. Neither are very clear most of the time. You have to think about what is being said or what is happening and dig for the deeper truth. Sometimes the interpretation vary from person to person, but that's okay.

On another note, these poems are all personal to me, as I have a hard time writing what I haven't experienced in some form or another. So welcome to my life and inner thoughts. My mind can be an interesting place...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these or at least take something out of them.
