Marcy stood at the hospital bed. She had spent the last few days trying to create an antidote for the poison Drake was inflicted with. Unfortunately, the sample on the poisoned dagger had expired that same fateful night and now she was stuck. She tried all kinds of antidotes, hoping she could help him through trial and error, but nothing worked. If she started taking more extreme measures, it could permanently damage him in some way. All she could do was watch Drake's symptoms and theorize the cause. A part of her hoped she would get information on the poison at place the letter mentioned, the Island of Pad.

A messenger entered the room. "Master Marcy... your ship is ready." he said.

Marcy nodded then began to depart. It took a while for Newtopia to recall the navy, but they didn't want to take any chances with the upcoming battle. At the docks, she was met with a familiar group of newts. Lady Olivia, Colonel Kerry and King Andrias.

"Good luck Master Marcy. I'll keep an eye on Drake while you're gone." Lady Olivia said.

Kerry saluted, maintaining a sense of professionalism. "If anything happens, it was an honor to work with you."

King Andrias looked ashamed and worried about what happened. He never expected the castle's security to be breached. Marcy could've easily been killed that fateful night and he was lucky Drake was there. "Take care kiddo." King Andrias said.

"Thank you everyone." Marcy said as she boarded the ship and took her position as captain of The Green Lady.

Marcy grabbed the wheel and sailed to the fleet anchored nearby. The fleet itself was comprised of sailing ships. Most of them were merely troop transports or merchant vessels refitted for the upcoming battle. Only a few of them were actually purpose-built warships. Which made sense according to Amphibia's history, they never needed to project power on the high seas, nor did anyone ever attempt to challenge them.

She had carefully planned the route the fleet would take to reach the Island of Pad. The route she chose was the fastest and most direct route. Marcy looked at the compass to make sure they were headed northwest. There shouldn't be any islands or obstacles, just open seas until they reached the island.

Marcy focused on sailing and didn't notice when the crew of The Green Lady began to sing a shanty. She was in the zone.

A few hours later, more ships could be seen in the distance. There were at least ten of them with more likely hiding behind the ones in front. Marcy looked through a telescope, trying to identify them. She noticed their flags had the same cult symbol and knew what it meant.

"Enemy ships ahead!" one of the crew members yelled. "They're headed right for us!"

As the two fleets approached, a group of small fishing boats broke off from the enemy fleet. These were a lot faster and more agile than the other ships the cultists had fielded. Then the fishing boats were lit on fire by their crew. One of them began to rush at The Green Lady like a missile.

"Fireships! Evasive maneuvers!" Marcy ordered as she turned the wheel. The crew started waving flags, playing instruments and ringing bells in an attempt to communicate Marcy's order.

The fireship barely missed The Green Lady. Undeterred, the enemy crew chose a new target and easily collided with another ship. There was an explosion as both ships sank beneath the water. Marcy looked back at the other ships and could see even more explosions. By the end of the first engagement, every fireship the cultists had sent hit their marks.

"We still have a larger force. We just need to get close enough to board them and we should be fine." Marcy said quietly, mostly in an attempt to calm herself after such a huge screw up.
