Special | Merry Christmas!

Start from the beginning

Now you were getting ready to meet up with Marinette for each other's exchange. The outfit you decided on was cute, and would able to keep you warm in the snowy weather. You picked up Marinette's present walking out your room with it.

"I'm going to meet up with Marinette now." You told your parents. Your mother grinned, giving you a supportive thumbs up. "Have fun!"

You walked out the house immediately being met with the cool air of the outside. A puff of smoke left your mouth as you began walking over to the park, making sure to text Marinette while doing so. You left shoe prints in the couple inches of snow laid out on the ground with every step you took.

You held the gift in your hand making sure the bag didn't drag on the snow. Your phone dinged in your pocket; you immediately took it out, seeing Marinette texted saying she was already at the park.

Three minutes later you finally reached the park and saw Marinette sitting patiently on a bench, wrapped up in a fuzzy coat and thick pants on. You picked up your walking speed, sitting next to her. She looked up noticing it was you. Her eyes widened for a quick second as she let out a smokey breath. "Hey, [Y/N]! I didn't notice you coming up."

You laughed, scooting closer to her and wrapping one arm around her shoulders for a side hug. "I saw you were just staring at the ground." You nudged into her teasingly.

Marinette offered you the gift that sat beside her, while you did the same. You opened your present first. You put the wrapping between your thighs, being sure it wouldn't fly away. In the bag was a card that said "from: Marinette." Along with a heart next to it.

Beside the card was a small snowman plush wearing a Santa hat, and a beret. You took out the beret flipping it around to view all the sides. The inside flap had Marinette's signature, and on the outside was your initials. Your mouth parted, admiring the personally made beret in your hand. "Wow, this is amazing, Marinette! I love this."

"I was working on it for about a week. I'd hoped you liked it." You pulled Marinette in for another hug, squeezing her close to you. "I love it, Marinette." You went to reach for the envelope but Marinette grabbed your wrist. "I want you to read it later." You paused for a couple seconds, just staring at her, dropping the card back in the bag and smiling again. "Okay." You said softly.

Marinette face held a sweet and nervous smile on her face. She grew shy from all the praise you were giving. You put all the wrapping paper and stuffed it back in the bag that held your gift.

Marinette repeated your actions, unwrapping her gift and immediately noticing the card that was there for her. She grabbed the box that held the necklace and opened it. Her face lit up, and cheeks reddened more than they already were. "This is so pretty." She pulled necklace out the box unclipping it to put it on.

"Here." You took each end of the necklace while Marinette slightly turned her body away. You put the necklace around her neck clipping it and letting go. Marinette smiled widely looking down at the jewelry around her neck. She nodded, "thank you so much. I love it."

"Thank you too, Marinette." You both sat there for a second, unsure of what to say. You felt a sudden pressure in your heart, a familiar feeling in your chest.

A feeling where you wanted to tell Marinette your feelings.

"Marinette.." you started.

Marinette hummed in response. "Yeah?"

You leaned into the bench keeping your eyes locked on Marinette's. Marinette blinked, her eyes going from yours to your lips, then back to your eyes. Your lips formed a small smile. "I... um." You lost your train of thought. "I love spending time with you, you know. You mean a lot to me, Marinette. More than a friend should."

You took Marinette's hand in yours, using the other to brush a strand of hair out of Marinette's face. You slowly leaned in, tilting your head to the side and pressing your soft lips against Marinette's cold cheek. You felt Marinette's free hand slide onto your thigh, lightly gripping it with her fingertips. After pulling away, you let your hand fell loosely around Marinette's neck, still desperate for some sort of physical contact.

Time felt like it'd been moving slower than ever while you and Marinette stared at each other loving and longingly, yet both unable to make any more moves.

You finally pulled away, shaking away all the overthinking thoughts that flooded your head. You took the gift and stood up, turning back to Marinette, who stayed sat in the in the bench starstruck. "Bye, Marinette."

"B-bye."

The feeling of warmth hugged you walking into your own home. You rushed back over to your room picking out the envelope from Marinette and opening it up. The card was was just a cute picture of Santa Claus, and the inside was where Marinette written stuff, and some sentences even being crossed out, though you could still faintly tell what a few of them said.

Dear, [Y/N]
Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful day and I also hope you like/d the gift I gave you. I loved making it for you. I love doing anything for you, honestly. I hope that doesn't sound weird... um. Wait, maybe that was too much? Sorry. I don't really know what to say. I̶ ̶u̶s̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶f̶o̶c̶u̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u. Anywho, merry Christmas! :)
Love, Marinette <3

You laughed at the card. Somehow Marinette managed to be awkward writhing a card too. Plagg sighed after reading the card while sitting on your shoulder. "She's certainly.. interesting. The moment you guys had together was very intimate. What about Ladybug?"

Oh, right. Ladybug.

"I don't know, Plagg. I think it's best if I stick to Marinette. It'd be easier that way. But, who knows. Maybe things will change." You paused, smirking at Plagg. "I've just got one more present to deliver. Are you ready to see your favorite person?"

Plagg flew around in excitement. "Yes! I hope he's already got cheese waiting for me!" You grabbed Adrien's present and set off into the day ready to tell him all that happened between you and Marinette.
