28. Letters

no one on Dragonstone knew how to act when they would learned that the rider of cannibal was none other than the Amaris Witch, Aelana Targaryen. So far only people of dragonstone knew it and Aelana decide that she wanted to surprise her brother and other residents of kings landing when she would flew back their on cannibal.

Rhaenyra was little sad at the thought of being away from her aunt but she respected her decision as much as Aelana respected hers.

currently they were all spread around the living room and having little snacks, all the childrens were too excited and were huddled around a book, they got from the library and were reading about the wild cannibal. while laenor, Aelana and rhaenyra were talking about the same topic but it bit mature way, they weren't screaming like viserra and lucerys.

"I still cant believe you claimed cannibal" laenor said out loud and Aelana only smirked at him, while rhaenyra smack her husband shoulder and raised her brow "Of course she did, She is one of the great Targaryen"

Aelana smiled at her niece kindly and rhaenyra turned to look her and smiled back "Her father Prince Baelon rode Balerion, Her grandfather old king jaehaerys rode Vermithor, her grandmother good queen Alysanne rode silverwing, so of course she rides cannibal."

Aelana chuckled at her niece and put her hand on her heart "Oh that was so generous of you, princess" she mocked her niece and eyes wide, with a smile on her face, rhaenyra pick up the pillow from beside her and threw it at Aelana, who dodged it.

They both laughed and laenor shook his head smiling, aelana saw that laenor was smiling, he was not worried, that would mean that laena was fine but she still decided to ask him for more precaution. The moment Aelana opened her mouth, she was interrupted by Valeri who had just entered in to the room with a scroll in her hand.

Valeri was never treated like a servant by aelana or rhaenyra even laenor, she still needed to show the respect, so she bowed her head at all of them "Princess, Lord, High lady" . Even though she was nanny of viserra, baelyx and aenya, she still look after jacaerys and lucerys when the children were together.

valeri stood up and all three smiled at her, but instead of aelana, rhaenyra asked her with a gentle smile "What the matter Valeri?"

valeri looked at her princess, three scrolls in her hand. "My princess, lord, high lady i have letters for reach of you". Aelana faced turned grim at the thoughts that ran through her head. she looked at rhaenyra and then laenor.

"Letters? who send them?" Aelana asked and valeri face fell down "Oh the guards didnt tell me, they just wanted to give these to you"

aelana look down and saw that the closed letter had her name but not the name of sender, maybe it was enclosed inside, for more privacy.

"you can give them to us Valeri and please take the children out to other room" Aelana asked her and valeri took a step forward, giving each of them their letters. they all waited until valeri walked towards the children and huddled them out of the room.

Aelana saw baelyx giving her mother questioning look but she only nod at him, telling him to follow valeri and he did. Once the room was empty, the atmosphere of the room was suffocating. why would they all get the letter.

"What do you think its about?" Rhaenyra asked the other two and wile aelana stayed silent, laenor shrugged "We have been here for two day, and your father isn't the one to cause war out of nowhere"

Aelana kept looking at the letter in her hands and then at the others, "Lets open them together" she mumbled and with shaky hands all three of them open the letter.

Aelana saw that the first words of the letter were 'Dear Wife' and she immediately look up at laenor and rhaenyra and exclaimed suddenly "its from rowan" At her sudden interval, laenor look up from her letter and so did rhaenyra.
