"Right down here, and then down that second ledge."

Everyone goes looking for a way down. Finally Soap finds one and calls out for the others. Slowly everyone makes their way down the tight slippery path he found. Ghost is the first one down and after walking back toward the site of the accident, having walked quite a distance away from it just to find a way down, he starts to sprint toward a tree. The guys behind him do the same. When Ghost reaches the tree he gets down on his knees in front of something. As the others get close they see that it is y/n leaning against the trunk. Her skin is red and her lips are a dark violet color. There are frozen droplets stuck to her eyelashes and eyebrows. Ghost places his index and middle finger on her neck, right at her windpipe.

"She's breathing." he says, with clear relief in his deep voice. Y/n is holding the radio in her hands. Her fingertips are white, making it look like all of the blood has been drained out of them.

"We have to get her back to the house, she is definitely hypothermic." Ghost puts his hands under her back and under her legs and lifts her up, carrying her in his arms. Soap grabs her backpack from the ground and the group starts to make their way back up. Keegan is guiding everyone as they tread through the snow.

After a little more than one hour, they finally spot the car. Price jumps into the driver's seat with Soap riding shotgun. Keegan gets in behind Soap, on the right side of the car and Ghost on the left. Ghost places y/n with her head in his lap, laying across the seats in the back, feet in Keegans lap. Price starts to speed off. Ghost removes his gloves, they are so large compared to hers that he can put them on her hands, while she is already wearing her own pair. Then he takes off his jacket, laying it over her body, doing whatever he can to keep her warm.

As they stop in front of the house Ghost runs in with y/n in his arms, making his way to her room and placing her on her bed. He takes every blanket from every room and tucks her in under them. Then he orders Soap to light a fire in the fireplace located in the living room, close to her room. Ghost, brings a chair into her room, closes the door and sits down on the chair next to her bed, waiting for her to wake up.

---

When you wake up you are confused and dazed. You can't seem to figure out where you are. As you open your eyes and look around you spot someone in a mask with a skull on it sitting right next to your bed. It startles you and you try to sit up.

"Hey, take it easy." the man in the mask says, leaning forward and placing a hand on your chest, slowly pushing you back down. "How are you feeling?"

Then it hits you. The aching pain in your back and legs and the incredibly deep freezing sensation all throughout your body. You feel as if you have spent the last five years in an industrial freezer. You start to shiver a lot.

"I've made you some tea." You start to recognize the accent. The man reaches for a cup on the nightstand. Then he places his hand behind your head, tilting it slightly before he moves the cup to your lips. You drink a bit and the warm sensation in your throat is comforting. As you take another sip you look up at his mask-clad face. You meet the eyes of the man and as you do you remember who it is. You choke on the tea and start to cough. Ghost places the cup on the nightstand again. When you stop coughing you lay your head back down. Then you turn on your side, facing him.

"I'm so fucking cold." you say, hearing your teeth chatter. You can see Ghost looking around the room, trying to figure out some other way to heat you up. Every blanket in the house is on top of you and the fire is burning in the next room. Then Ghost stands up. He takes one step towards the bed and reaches for the blankets, lifting them slightly. He looks at you with his dark eyes.

"May I?" he says, tilting his head slightly. You feel this warm feeling starting to spread in your gut as you think about what he is possibly insinuating. You nod your head.

Ghost lifts the blankets even more, then he sits down on the bed. He bends over and you can hear him untie his boots. When he is done he lifts his legs up, placing them down on the bed. You scoot backward, feeling your back meet the wall of the room. As you do this he lays his head down on the pillow. Ghost lifts the arm closest to you, his right one, up and over your head. At the same time he taps with his left hand on his chest.

"Here." he says. You lift your head and place it down on his chest, feeling an immediate surge of warmth in your entire body as your bodies meet. You feel a large hand on your arm, the thumb slowly moving back and forwards over the fabric of your shirt.

You lay there together for a while, not saying a word. Slowly your breathing starts to sync up, Ghost taking slower, deeper breaths than you. After a while you start to feel tired. Closing your eyes as you nestle your head into the hollow where Ghost's head meets his shoulder. Then you fall asleep.

You dream about the accident. Those moments right before the fall play over and over in your head. You want to run away but right as you try to move you fall. You feel yourself tumbling down again, it feels just as real as when it happened. As you slide toward the second edge you try desperately to stop, but nothing happens. You fall over the edge and just as you are about to slam into the ground you wake up. You sit straight up in the bed, hyperventilating and feeling a tightness over your chest.

You feel two large arms wrap around you from behind.

"Calm down luv, it was just a nightmare. You are safe here." The raspy British voice manages to calm you down slightly. You swallow once before running your hand through your hair, getting it out of your face. You lay down on your side, facing Ghost's chest, who is turned towards you. Pressing your forehead against his chest, you can faintly hear his beating heart. You feel a hand making its way up the nape of your neck, reaching your hair. He starts to slowly play with it as you once again close your eyes.
