Starting a new life at highschool is not easy.

Especially when you lose someone dear to you... your father, for example. Or when your whole life is turned upside down.

Wait, haven't I introduced myself yet?

Opps.

Hey there, I am Aurora Thorne 17 years old, a college student.

My story begin after I lost my father since I was a child, and now, I've been trying to keep up with new developments in my life since then.

For the rest, my family consists of me, my sister Sophia, my brother Casper and finally my mom.

In fact, the loss of my father was a painful reality that led to a lot of disagreements between us, as my mother became constantly on her nerves, and this did not benefit the rest of us. Other than that, I have become aware that I am far from my "family", as I have become avoiding staying with them for a long time or having a conversation with them without quarreling for the slightest reason, and this was what made me lose my mind most of the time, because, sometimes my tongue slips with a word, or sometimes I make a movement with my hand or an expression on my face, which leads to an even more escalating situation.

Over time, and as I got used to these behaviors, I no longer showed any reaction, or as they say, "I became cold to my family," unlike what I am with my friends, as I am usually cheerful and shy.

Yet I still have my two best friend. Milly and John.

Well, I think what I experienced requires a complete change.

Anyway, I withstood all these events for a while trying to focus on my studies, but I wasn't that strong.

Back in the present, I'm more sensitive than ever, and things affect me more than before, but I don't show this side to anyone. I always try to be that strong and funny girl who always smiles. I always thought crying in front of others makes them lie, they don't really care what happened to you, they just pretend to care about you and console you.

And this is my diary.

My father gave it to me before his death, and I have not accepted writing on them until now. And I think I'm finally ready for that.

After all, memories are important.
