Personality: David's personality can often be described as confrontational, and he will often say whatever is on his mind regardless of the consequences. It is shown in both the anime and the manga that he is a very good fighter and is considered to be very dangerous. Initially, David was nothing more than a crude and uncaring delinquent. While he wouldn't start fights, he would take deliberate pleasure in inflicting the most pain possible when facing his opponents, regularly resulting to cruel and unusual methods of punishment for his defeated enemies, showing a high amount of sadism. David doesn't seem to have any sense of appeal for or opposition against girls. However, he does also have a sense of chivalry, as said by David he will not fight or harm a woman.

Superhuman Strength: Being a Cybertronian Optimus is easily able to lift trucks, cars even lifting and throwing Decepticons as Like when he threw Sideways onto the ground.
Superhuman Durability: David has superhuman durability, he has shown to withstand tremendous amounts of punishment and completely immune to bullets, punctures and concussions.
Superhuman Speed: Being a Transformer David can transform into a truck reaching higher speeds than any human.

Master Swordsman: David is skilled in using multiple swords, specifically his energon swords.

Master Scientist: As the former head scientist of the Cybertronian scientific division, David was brilliant in many different field of science, including Cybertronian technology. He also acquire Science Manipulation which can control reality, like knowing where the team betrays Megatron.
