Adeline wasn't very observant because she had Biology just before Bella. Adeline walked into the Biology room with Saige, the sisters went to their seats. The rest of the class soon filed in and the tardy bell rang. "Working with your lab partner, you must take the slides from the box and separate the slides of onion root tip cells into the phases of mitosis they represent. Label them accordingly. In 20 minutes I will be coming around to see who has them correct, no using your books." Mr. Banner said.

Adeline turned to Jessica, "How well do you understand this unit?" she asked trying to gauge how much effort she needed to put in. Surprisingly this was one of the few units Adeline did well in, it helped that she had done this lab already, especially with onion root tip cells in Seattle. Jessica stopped her quiet babbling to the poor person behind them. "Uhm, I'm not terrible in this unit," Jessica replied.

"Splendid, let's get started then shall we?" Adeline said picking up the first slide from the box and putting it into the microscope. "I'm like 90 percent sure it's prophase," Adeline said after taking a good peak at the onion root tip cell. She passed the microscope over to Jessica so she could see it as well. Jessica nodded in agreement "Yeah, I think so too, although" she paused taking another look into the microscope, "Nope definitely prophase" Jessica finally decided. Jessica took the paper and wrote down their assessment of the first slide along with both of their names. "Can I have the next slide?" Jessica asked with a touch of attitude and impatience.

Adeline was in a certain mood today, "No. No, you cannot." She sassed, Adeline glared at her and Jessica glared back. Adeline eventually gave her the next slide, but her annoyance with Jessica was yet to change.

"Hmm, it's either interphase or anaphase," Jessica said pushing the microscope towards Adeline. Adeline took a look through the microscope.

"It's anaphase," Adeline said trying her best to be nice to Jessica. Adeline grabbed slide three and set it on the microscope, she paused to scribble down what the second slide was. She looked into the microscope "That's interphase. And because I've already done this lab and I'm feeling extra nice today you can get the extra practice and identify what the last two are." Adeline took the paper and wrote down their assessment of slide three. Adeline gave Jessica slide four along with the paper. She silently chuckled watching Jessica slightly struggle gave her delight. After a little while, the two finished their assignment, and with nothing to do Adeline took to people-watching.

She saw Saige struggling a little bit so she whispered-shouted her name. "Saige!" Adeline said, Saige turned her attention to her sister. "What number are you on?" Saige held up 3 fingers, "That's anaphase." Saige nodded and scribbled it down. Saige didn't turn her attention back to Adeline she figured she no longer needed help. Mr. Banner had begun his rounds around the room. He started with the tables that were no longer working. He took up their papers and looked over them, Adeline and Jessica had no critiques, and Mr. Banner gave them a few extra credit points for completing the assignment so well.

Adeline awoke to her phone alarm going off, like normal, she shut it off and stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before remembering the delight that is her morning coffee. She grabbed her phone before heading downstairs, looking at her messages she saw her now usual good morning text from Jasper. She was about to text back when she took a step forward and fell sliding down the stairs scrapping up her back and the back of her legs. "I'm okay!" Adeline yelled out so her family wouldn't worry about her, "Mostly" she mumbled rubbing her back and her head. She finished her morning routine with a bit of grumble after her fall down the stairs. For today's outfit, Adeline went with a white t-shirt with a graphic design on it, black leggings, and white checkered vans. Saige was waiting for her in the kitchen when Adeline made her way downstairs safely this time.
