Adeline was impatiently waiting for Biology to be over so she could tell Saige about Jasper asking her for her number. The bell finally rang after what felt like an eternity. Adeline quickly packed her things up and made her way over to Saige's desk. "Saige hurry up! I have tea I need to spill!" Adeline rushed. Saige got her things into her bag and they made their way over to the gym. They set their things down and Adeline immediately told Saige everything.
"Okay Saige, so I have to do a project on the Civil War and history and during our free period, Jasper and I were in the library talking about our project. Did I mention I'm paired with him? Anyway so he asked me for my number since we're working on the project and we won't have much class time we have to do it outside of school. I'm just really excited!" Adeline explained quickly, talking herself out of breath.
"Hold on. You gave him your number?" Saige asked confused.
"That would be correct." Adeline agreed,
"And your working on a history project together?" Saige clarified
"Yep. We both know how good I am with the Civil War battles and everything, and Jasper was joking that he knows so much about the Civil War that he practically fought in it."
"So that means you'll get done quickly. Which means you guys could hang out, which means you go on a date together." Saige said getting lost in her thoughts. Adeline was nodding until the end. St the mention of going on a date with Jasper her cheeks flushed red. As she thought of him she heard her phone buzz with a notification. Saige decided to tease her as Adeline went to grab her phone out of her bag. "Is that your boyfriend? The one you're working on a project with?" Adeline slapped Saige's arm before looking at the message and scolded her.
"Saige let it rest, he's not my boyfriend! We are just friends!"
Saige scoffed "Sure Addie, just friends. For now!" Adeline wasn't paying any attention to Saige as she unlocked her phone to see that message.

Hey Adeline, it's Jasper. By the way, Rosalie stole that paper you gave me so you might get a text from her too.
Adeline
No worries, your sister is very sweet.
Adeline could feel herself blushing at the sight of his name. It's embarrassing how easily he gives her butterflies, makes her smile, and blush. She changed his contact name and shut her phone off.

The next morning Adeline did her normal morning routine but today she was greeted by a text from Jasper.

Good morning miss Adeline.
Adeline
Good morning sir Jasper.
Adeline smiled at the message, it was a lot more pleasant than the one she got yesterday morning. She continued her morning like usual. When Adeline walked into first period she saw Jasper in sitting his spot with a smile on his face. She sat down and looked at him. "What are you all smiley about?" she asked while grabbing her notes, rubric, and laptop out from her bag so they could work on the project.
"Just excited to get this project done so we don't have to worry about it." The bell rang as he finished talking. The substitute spoke up. "Hello, class I'm Mr. Avery, I'll be your substitute today. Your teacher left instructions yesterday but if you need a refresher. Come up to my desk and I'll tell you. Work on your project, don't kill each other, and don't do anything stupid." the class laughed a little. Pretty much everyone turned their attention back to their project.
