The clicking sound of clock was the only thing you will hear in that room as everyone was lost quietly in his or her thought waiting to hear the next thing that will happen again. Falak tried to hide it from them and came up with a lie that will cover Riyam but this time around someone beat her to it and there is no way she can hide the truth.

Dr. Safeena called Alhaji Kabeer Bawa and spilled everything to him. He couldn't utter a single word because everything is beyond his power now. His family are just trying to ruin his reputation step by step.

First they were accused of murder, his other daughter-in-law disappeared, Anisa starts following men and now Riyam is taking drugs. Wouldn't this be an interesting story to write a book on?. Because it's like his family wants to see the end of him and that's why they're creating different mess for me.

He couldn't even raise a finger at Riyam because it's like he is tired of fighting them all, he just don't know what to do any longer.

"Since when?," Alhaji Bawa direct his question to Riyam. She just hide behind Falak far away from her father so that even if he tried to beat her she will escape.

She didn't utter a word because they're the root of all this, and it's only when something happen will they ask them why?.

Her mother's eyes was filled with unshed tears. She is just trying to act brave because it's like Karma is now playing with her through her daughter.

What she feared most is now hunting her. Rayan felt bad for his only sister, it's all their fault while she is like this and they can't even say anything to deny it.

"You're into drugs in my own house Riyam, my own blood is into drugs," Alhaji Bawa repeated not believing that this had happen in his house and that too his daughter is the victim.

"Do you have anything to say as her mother," Bawa turned to Riyam's mother but she couldn't utter a word.

All her attention is on her daughter and she knows that even if no one tell her this, deep down she know that she is the reason behind her daughter's misfortune. But Riyam could have chose anything but not drugs. Doesn't she know how it will damage her future or she might end up having cancer.

"Since none of you have nothing to say, I've already made up my mind that I will take her to Rehab since that's the kind of life she chose for herself," Alhaji Bawa said.

"What! No Abba please don't do this to me. I will stop Abba I promise," Riyam finally found her voice. He can't just do this to her, "I promise you Abba I will stop taking drugs," Riyam said with tears welled in her eyes.

"Ammi please tell him I will stop I promise," Riyam said to her mother.

Hajiya Ramla look at her husband and the moment their eyes locked he took his eyes away from her own.

"It's the best thing I can do for her as her father and no one will change my mind," He said and leave the room leaving a devastated Riyam to her miseries.

"It's all your fault why we end up like this," Riyam keep on saying. Even her sister's pitied her condition and there is nothing they can do to change their father's mind.

Falak help Riyam to her room. The moment Riyam was in her room she collapsed to her knees and clutched the shag carpet underneath her. Her chest heaved as she forced breath after trembling breath from her lips.

She coughed and choked on her saliva. Her muscles were still quaking and her head was still buzzing from the adrenaline surge. This day was not supposed to happen like this. Tears poured down her face as a sob escaped from her mouth before she could stop it: “ Why?.”

Riyam stared at the white ceiling with no emotions to display. She can still remember the day she start abusing drug. It's the day she learn about her father's darkest secret. Riyam went to tell her mother and upon reaching there her mother and brother shattered the remaining hope she had on them.

She also know something bad about them and in order to forget about everything the only thing that come to her mind is drug.

She knows that using drug is bad because she learned it in her secondary school but all she want at that time was to forget the secrets she found and that's how she start using drugs and since then she has been leaning on them. The drugs she took at that time helped her healed.

She forgot about everything. She forgot about her familes endless drama and everyone around her. Riyam forgot her father being abusive and she distanced herself from everyone while she lean completely on drugs.

A whispery sensation from the pills always spiraled gently through her body, drawing a veil through the passages of her brain, mind, chest and heart, settling softly on her nerves, calming and soothing. She felt so peaceful that even her most angry thoughts dissolved that's what the drugs do to her and it's the only comfort zone she had back then.

Riyam can still remember fighting with her best friend when she found out and she threatened to tell her parent but Riyam promised her that she will stop. She is just lying because she never stop taking them, she never escape a day without taking them because her pocket is always filled with money that gives her the chance to never go out of drugs. Eventually she found herself dependent on it.

"Will you be okay," Falak squeeze Riyam's hand.

"Yeah, I guess since that's what I want in the beginning leaving this place. Don't worry I will be alright," Riyam said her voice shaking but she tried to stay calm.

Falak didn't know what to offer because the lives of those young girls is ruined by their own parents and she can't do anything about it. Maybe this is their own fate.

"Don't worry I will be fine and thank you for everything," Riyam said as she tried to fight the tears that want to fall. She never show her weakness infront of anyone and she can't do it now.

"I'm good when it comes to keeping secret, so you can cry all you want. I will not tell anyone," Falak said as she look into Riyam's eyes.

As if that's the only thing she keep waiting to hear for a very long time, Riyam doesn't know how but she find herself crying. Falak only hug her as she keep drawing soothing circles on her back.

"Why me?, why?, why," Riyam cried harder.

"Listen Riyam if you keep thinking you can't do it you really won't be able to. But if you keep thinking you can do it you'll be able to do more than you think. It all depends on how you think. And deep down I believe you can do it," Falak said to Riyam.

All this while Hajiya Ramla had seen and heard all that happened. She can't face her daughter because she know that her face is the only thing she don't want to see right now.

She only prayed that Falak will fill the spot she lost in her daughter's life before she wiped her tears and leave the place with a burned heart.
