STELL

Where is Pablo?

There was a faculty meeting so walang klase. But I haven't had contact with him since earlier. He might be busy.

Sabay kaya kaming uuwi?

Wala na akong gagawin dito sa univ kaya uuwi nalang ako. I had works that I needed to finish. I can't concentrate here so it's better to just go home.

I was walking in the hallway when I saw Cross, Pablo's friend.

"Cross." I called him.

"Stell, ikaw pala." bati nito sa akin.

"Where's Pablo? Bat di mo sya kasama?" tanong ko.

Laging magkasama itong dalawang 'to. They're bestfriends.

He shrugged. "I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know? You're classmates right?" I asked. "Don't tell me he ditch his class kanina? That won't happen." I said with full of certainty.

Imposibleng mag cut ng klase yung kakambal ko na yun. Pablo's a study geek. An ultimate nerd as what others label him. Mas may possibility pa na ako ang gumawa nun pero Pablo, no, never.

"I am with him during lunch pero hindi siya naka attend ng klase kanina because he go to the infirmary." sabi nito.

"Infirmary??! Why?? Masama ba pakiramdam niya??" sunod sunod na tanong ko na may halong pag aalala.

Pablo doesn't easily get sick. One thing I envy of him.

"Medyo." sagot nito. "Parang nahihilo siya kanina kaya I told him to go to infirmary para makapagpahinga."

"So he's still in there?" tanong kong muli.

Sabi nito hindi daw niya alam. Ano ba talaga?

"No." Cross answered.

My brows furrowed.

"Nakita ko siya kanina. Nagmamadaling bumaba ng building. I called him but I think he didn't hear me. Lukot na lukot ang mukha. Parang pasan ang mundo so I didn't bother following him. Baka sapakin pa ako eh." he said.

Pablo's mad? Bakit?

"Did you saw where he goes?"

Cross shook his head.

I nodded. "Sige, tawagan ko nalang siya. Salamat." sabi ko at agad na ring nagpaalam.

Cross bid his goodbye as well.

I walked towards the gate of the university. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to call Pablo.

Wala talagang text or tawag.

I was about to dial his number when a car stop right in front of me.

Nice car, I commented.

To my surprise, iniluwa nito ang kanina ko pang hinahanap.

Si Pablo.

But what surprise me the most was the person whom he is with. My memories are a bit blurry but i'm quite sure that this is the guy that owns the car that I bumped the last time.

Bakit sila magkasama? at sa iisang kotse?

I saw how the two exchanged glances and both nodded. It's not awkward but it's not that comfortable as well. A bit hard to describe, I say.

"Stell." he approached me.

"San ka galing?" I immediately asked.

He sighed. "Long story." He heaved a sigh again.
