"Assalam Alaykum!", I said loudly walking in

"Wa Alaykum Assalam", Maida aunty and Hooriya bhabi said

"How long has it been?", I asked directing towards Hooriya bhabi, since Maida aunty continued reciting

"About an hour! She told me to text you from her phone", Hooriya bhabi said

"And how long is it going to take, haye she must be in pain", I said, instantly tears clouded my vision

"We brought her in when she was 7cm dilated, so I'd say about four to five hours", Hooriya bhabi said

"Wait? 7cm, was she in labor since the morning or what?", I asked

"Madame thought it was Braxton Hicks and didn't think of it, until I forced her to come to the hospital", Hooriya bhabi laughed out

"I mean, that's Henna for you", I laughed out

We just sat there for a while. Luqmaan bhai was nervously pacing around with tears in his eyes. I could really see that he cherished and loved Henna more than anything. I am so glad that she found a sweetheart like Luqmaan bhai who was this worried for her. In order to break the awkward silence, I spoke up

"Do any of you want tea or coffee? I'll go down to the cafeteria to get you guys something", I said

"Ayla, if you don't mind me asking, can you please get me a coffee?", Luqmaan bhai said

"Aye yeah would I mind, sure! Anyone else want anything?", I asked

Everyone shook their head negatively in response. I walked downstairs to the cafe, reminscing the time I was last here. I was Mrs. Ayla Shehryar, I belonged to relationship I had never wanted and now I'm a free woman, I'm to being a Ms. Ayla Ahmed, the twenty year old with big dreams in life that she is now going to achieve. It was soon my turn in line to get my stuff. Ordering a coffee for Luqmaan bhai and some sandwiches for everyone else, I went back upstairs. As soon as I reached near the OT, I could see the panic stricken face of Maida aunty and Hooriya bhabi, whereas Luqmaan bhai was no where to be seen.

"Aunty what happened?", I asked immediately running towards her and holding her hand

"All of a sudden, Henna's blood pressure went up, they're operating on her asap otherwise-", saying this she burst out crying

"Aunty nothing will happen, Henna is a strong woman, she'll get through it, sit down and have some water", I said

Maida aunty somehow calmed down and gulped the water I gave her slowly. I gave her the sandwich as well and she ate that. We all sat out there in silence and prayed for Henna and the baby's health. After about an hour, we heard a piercingly loud crying sound of baby, we all gave out a breathe of relief. After 5 minutes, the door to the OT opened up with a Luqmaan bhai giving an ear to ear grin, yelling

"ITS A GIRL, I HAVE A DAUGHTER"

The doctor told us that we could see Henna in about two hours since they needed to get her stitched up whereas we could see the baby in about half an hour. We were all eagerly waiting for Luqmaan bhai to take us to the baby and he did come after a while and took us to stand outside the glass door of the nursery. He then pointed at the cot of the cutest baby in the entire nursery. And I'm not saying this only cause she's my niece, she was indeed beautiful.

With a string of Masha'Allahs and dua'as, Luqmaan bhai took a deep breathe with a smile and said,

"Guys I want you all to meet Luna Luqmaan Khan"

AAAH IF I COULDN'T FALL MORE IN LOVE WITH THIS LITTLE HUMAN

I waited for Henna to wake up after two hours and congratulated her and she congratulated me back for the divorce

I waited for Henna to wake up after two hours and congratulated her and she congratulated me back for the divorce. Today was indeed a happy day. Soon the nurse brought in Luna and Henna was more than excited to hold her baby girl and I could tell she was also smitten by Ms. Luna. She immediately ruled over all of our hearts. Anyway, I had to excuse myself because I had to go home and rest after the exhausting day, I had to go and prepare for the exhibition which was also in two days.

I drove back home and went up the elevator to see Salaar leaning against my main door sleeping with boxes of takeout. I immediately cursed myself for forgetting to respond to his texts, he still doesn't know the outcome of the court hearing. I shook his shoulder and he woke up with an audible gasp,

"Hey Salaar", I said trying to control my laughter cause he looked so disheveled and disoriented right now

He blinked his eyes thrice and then pinched himself, trying to see if he was dreaming or not

"Aray drama queen get up, its actually me, lets go inside", I said opening my door

"Oh good! You weren't responding to my texts so I got worried, so I brought over dinner", he said now fully in his senses

"Oh haan! I forgot to tell you, Henna had her baby daughter. They named her Luna and she is absolutely adorable", I said

"Oh wow Masha'Allah. May Allah bring that little girl all the happiness in the world", he said

I muttered an Ameen and then Salaar said, "I brought takeout, ab tak thanda hou gaya hou ga, why don't you go freshen up, I'll heat it up"

I nodded and headed to the restroom to wash off my makeup and change into comfier clothes. I walked back outside to see Salaar setting the table with a gloomy face.

"Why so glum, chum?", I said, internally cringing at what I just said

"I want to ask you something", he said

"Yeah what's up?", I said

"How'd everything at the court go?", he asked

I wanted to tease him so I immediately made a sad face and intentionally quivered my lips and Salaar totally fell for it. He looked up into my eyes and I could see he had tears in them, I felt bad now.

"Kya karna hai ab? We hired the best divorce lawyer", he asked making sure his voice didn't break
(What are we going to do now? We hired the best divorce lawyer)

"You idiot! WE WON! I'M DIVORCED", I yelled at him

I could see him go into shock and then just freeze right there, I think I broke him. I grabbed a pillow from the couch and smacked his head with it, to which he became normal again and then showcased his dimpled smile

"No way! AAAHHH AYLA I'M SO HAPPY TODAY", he said

"Yes way! Me too! This is the best day ever", I said

We finished up the dinner talking about everything and anything. Life with Salaar was just simple and it was only ruled by one thing only and that was happiness. He's the one who made me realize that my happiness lies in that dimpled smile of his. I keep falling deeper for this man.
