"Agar mujhse ye toot gayi toh aapko acha nahi lagega na?" He murmured, lifting his other hand, puffing out another air of smoke.

"Ji," she barely managed to whisper before yanking her hand back and running to the kitchen. ⁕⁕⁕ Pari had always dreamed of a fairy tale love story... But on her wedding night, those dreams shattered: "Don't expect anything from this marriage," her husband said in an emotionless tone. "Yeh sirf meri family ke liye ek formality hai. Bas. Aur kuch nahi.". She stared at him, her lips parting as if to speak, but no words came. A few days later, while cleaning the attic, she found a diary... his diary. A woman's name written over and over again. It didn't take much to piece the truth together... his heart was never hers to begin with. Still, no matter how much his indifference hurt, she couldn't stop herself from falling for him. And just when she thought things couldn't get more complicated, life threw her the ultimate twist... At university, she came face to face with her cold, distant husband once again... this time, as his STUDENT. And that was only the beginning... She was only six when her fate was sealed with his name. Thirteen years later, when Dua returns from abroad, everyone expects a westernized, rebellious girl. Instead, they find a soft, cultured young woman whose beauty and grace leave whispers of envy trailing in her wake. She is no longer the timid child everyone remembers, but a breathtaking young woman draped in grace and quiet strength. The entire haveli whispers about her beauty. Some admire. Some envy. But only one man burns with an obsession he can't control-her husband by nikkah, Taimoor Arsalan Shah. Cold. Powerful. Feared by many. Taimoor never wanted a wife chosen for him. Never wanted the childhood nikkah that tied him to her. Years later, he has built a life of authority, discipline, and unyielding pride. But when Dua walks back into his haveli, draped in innocence and quiet strength, he is struck with a possessiveness he never thought himself capable of. Her lowered lashes and trembling lips make him realize that the girl he once ignored is now the only woman capable of undoing him. She wants freedom. He wants her surrender. And in a world bound by family honor, secrets, and desire- love was never supposed to feel this dangerous. The girl he once rejected is now the woman he cannot let go of-even if it means breaking her heart to claim it. CAN BE READ AS STAND STAND-ALONE. This book serves as a prequel to Twisted Family of Sikandars, focusing on Aairah and Hayaan's journey from their first meeting to their early married life. This story is a journey through time-a tale of love, longing, and the inevitable pull of fate. Aairah fell first. She fell hard, surrendering her heart to a man who barely acknowledged its existence. For four long years, she loved him in silence, watching from a distance as her feelings grew deeper, stronger, and more unshakable. Hayaan Sikandar, the man who had unknowingly captured her heart, was a force of nature-powerful, untouchable, and entirely uninterested in love. But destiny has a way of playing its own games.

Have you ever played Jenga? A single wrong move and the whole tower collapses. That was what Aliya's and her family's life had become. Aliya had no part to play in the mistake that shook her family and her life. Will Aliya be able to regain her trust in people and most importantly, her religion? --------------------- The cold breeze blew on my face. I could smell the familiar scent of roses. I smiled and opened my eyes. Nadia, my mother sat across me, a smile plastered on her face; that's where the fragrance came from. Following her gaze, I saw both my sisters, Aida and Abeer, splashing water on each other at the shore of the beach. I walked down to the beach, my sisters were still in the water, laughing, giggling and playing with each other. I took a few shots of the seashells and the algae at the shore, waiting for the sunset. I could see my parents, working together to pack up the picnic we had set up, both of their actions complimenting each other perfectly. They understood each other without even talking. That always amazed me. And well, a lot of other people too. As we walked down the beach, to the car park, I noticed my father moving in the opposite direction. I did not call after him. I noticed something sparkle, that's probably what he was going after. My mother noticed him later, she called after him, but he wouldn't listen. He slightly turned his head, but ignored us. He reached the sparkling stone, and held it in his hands. We tried to run over to him, but it was too late. A fence with dead black roses formed in front of us, around him. He was trapped. He tried coming back to us, but he couldn't resist the sparkle. Soon the beautiful sparkling stone he was holding, started turning into a deep black coal, which stained his hands black as well. All I could do was stand and look. I tried to reach out to him, but I couldn't. Soon, smaller pieces of coal attacked him, and he was turned to dust.

Based on 1970s Pakistani Punjabi x Indian Punjabi Qudrat has spent her life being looked through. As the eldest daughter, she learned early that love comes with conditions, silence comes with praise, and responsibility never asks if you're tired. She carries a house that is not gentle, memories that are not kind, and expectations that were never meant for someone her age. She is not allowed to choose herself. Not in a world where duty comes first. Not in a world where girls are taught to endure, not dream. Then there's the boy with green eyes. Zahir knows what fire takes. He watched it steal his parents, burn his past, and leave him standing in the smoke with nothing but survival in his hands. He does not believe in safe things. He does not believe in staying. And yet, somehow, he stays when he looks at her. He sees Qudrat - not the responsibility, not the role, not the silence she perfected - but the girl underneath it all. And he doesn't look away. What happens when love asks for more than you're allowed to give? When choosing yourself feels like betrayal? When a boy who escaped one fire walks willingly into another? This is a story about duty versus desire. About girls who are raised like anchors. About boys who are made of ashes and hope. About love that does not arrive gently - but still feels like home. Some fires destroy. Some teach you how to burn without disappearing. - - - - - - - - - - - -
