Kuch baat ghalat bhi ho jaaye
Kuch der ye dil bhi kho jaaye
Befikar dhadkane, iss tarah se chale
Shor goonje yahaan se wahaan

The next morning, I woke up earlier than usual. I tried calling my parents and sister but as usual they weren't receiving my calls. I then prayed Fajr and prayed for my family's wellbeing, I was starting to get worried now. After I finished praying, I started cleaning up the house. My main motive was that by 1pm, I am done with all sorts of chores so that I can easily go out with Henna. I was done with cleaning of the living room area, the dining room and the bathrooms before everyone woke up. I served breakfast the minute they sat on the dining table not trying to be late. As soon as I turned back to go to the kitchen to eat my breakfast, I heard aunty say,

"Dekha, aik din ki daant ki wajah say kitni iski tuning hui hai"
(See how she's working so efficiently after one day of scolding)

Gulping down my anger and humiliation, I went and quickly gulped down my breakfast. I started the cleaning of all of the bedrooms and once I was done with that, I went downstairs and cooked lunch. I was sure that I was going to be late but as soon as I turned off the stove and I looked at the clock, it was 12pm. I still had an hour!

I ran upstairs to my bedroom, got out my clothes. Took a shower and got ready accordingly (aka the dress code Henna gave to me). Once, I was satisfied with how I looked, I heard the doorbell ring. Grabbing my bag and some spare cash that I got from the salamis (basically money that's given to you as a gift on your wedding) from the Walima.

(A/N: my imagination of Ayla's clothes)

I sprinted down the stairs to find my mother in law talking to Henna

I sprinted down the stairs to find my mother in law talking to Henna.

"Beta tumne bataya nahin kay aaj tumne Henna kay saath bahir jaana hai" said aunty whilst forcing a smile
(You didn't tell me that you were going out with Henna today)

Henna, being an absolute angel, sensed the tension and jumped into the conversation saying,

"Aunty woh maine Sherry say iska number lay kar aaj subhah hee banaya hai"
(Aunty I had asked Sherry for her number and we just planned it this morning)

"Acha tou Sherry kou pata hai" she asked and Henna and I unanimously nodded
(Okay so, Sherry knows?)

"Henna beta if you don't mind, I want to talk to Ayla for a minute, why don't you go and talk to uncle, he's in the living room", aunty said

Henna nodded her head and walked towards the living room and aunty pulled me into the kitchen. She, then proceeded to twist my wrist and whispered in my ear so that Henna wouldn't hear

"Agar tumne Henna kou kuch bhi bataya, main tumhara maar maar kay hashar kar doun gi", she threatened me.
(If you tell Henna anything, I'm going to beat till death)

My wrist hurt really badly, so I just quickly nodded so that she'd let go, she did and then said

"Ayla wait beta, let me give you some money so that you can shop for yourself", she said loudly and completely changing her tone.
