O.. khud se hai ya Khuda se
Iss pal meri ladaai

Ayla POV

I woke up a little late than usual, the next morning in anticipation about my meeting with that lawyer. I was confused if I should text Ms. Sheikh about it. What if they decide to screw me over at the law firm or something? Fuck it, I'm texting her. I left her a text explaining the situation and she replied with an "ok". I wasn't sure what she meant with that, maybe I annoyed her out and me texting her was entire pointless. I was feeling really anxious about how today was to go, so I did what I do best. I prayed some nawafil prayer and asked Allah for his rehmat on this case. By the time, I got up from my prayer mat, I looked at the clock and it was 11:30am, I decided to get ready and get an Uber to this law firm. I arrived there at 12:10pm and right as I got out, a guy approached me, he was around 5'10, blue eyed and blonde.

"Hi! You're Ayla right?", he asked

"Yes I am, who are you?", I asked

"I am Adrian, I work at Ms. Sheikh's office, I'm a new graduate so she sent me to stay with you in this meeting and I'm supposed to keep her updated about it", he replied

"Oh okay thank you! The meeting is at 12:30, we better head inside", I said

"Not a problem, ladies first" and he gestured for me to walk infront

I went upstairs and introduced myself and Adrian to Rebecca and she gestured for us to go sit in the conference room. Once I sat there, me and Adrian started talking. He wasn't Canadian, but Scottish and he had moved to Canada after finishing his A Levels. We were talking about random things, when the door swung open and in all her glory walked in Saima baaji. What the fuck was happening?

"Oho ab tum angrezon kay saath rang rallian manao gi?", she taunted me as soon as she walked in
(Oh wow so you're now going to have affairs with white guys too?)

But before I could say anything, Adrian got up and said

"Good afternoon miss! I am Adrian Smith and you are?"

"Saima Abbas", she replied

"Okay, so you're the one she has a restraining order against, now since this is a legal office, the restraining order is null and void just for this meeting since we are in a safe space, but if you say anything offensive to my client, I am required to take action against you", he said professionally

You could visibly see the colour drain from Saima baaji's face, she just nodded and started using her phone. After a minute, the door opened with no one other than Shehryaar and Sania baaji. Great, what was this? A family reunion, certainly not a happy family reunion. We were all settled in and then exactly at 12:30pm, an man in his fifties walked in and introduced himself as Mr. Johnson. Shehryar was familar with him but the rest of us were not,

"So the reason why I've gathered you all here is because we are to read out the late Mr. Abbas Ullah's will. If no one has any objection to it, I can start reading it", he said

"No objections sir!", Shehryar said

"Okay then", Mr. Johnson took a deep breath and started reading out loud

I, Abbas Ullah, son of Shabbir Ullah, aged 59 years old, resident of 101 Morrison Avenue, Toronto, Ontario do hereby revoke all my former wills, codicils, and testamentary dispositions made by me. I declare, this to be my last will and statement.

I maintain good health and possess sound mind. This will has been made by my own independent decision and free discretion. I have not in any way, been influenced or coerced by anyone whatsoever.
