Santana pov: today was Jamel's graduation day and we were so proud of him. He went to prom on Friday and we had him looking fly as hell. Rented a bad ass rolls Royce wit the suicide doors and bae cut his hair and did his girlfriends full glam. They had the time of their life and we were glad we were able to make it happen. Once we got to the school we took our seats and they began shortly after.
Principal: we will like to have our valedictorian come to the stand(smiles) Jamel Raylin Price !
Raven:omg!(shocked)
Raven pov; my baby was valedictorian and he didn't tell us. He did say he had a surprise but I didn't know what is was. I pulled out my phone and began recording.
Jamel:(comes to the stand) good morning everyone. I won't be before you all too long. It's an honor to be here right now. Growing up I was a rough child. My father was murdered and I was kept away from most of his side of the family. I joined a gang and I stopped going to school. By coincidence I met my auntie and uncle and they took me in. Gave me the best life and kept me on track. Without the support of my family and close friends I don't think i would be standing here today. So thank you to everyone who's ever believed in me.(smiles)
(Everybody starts cheering. They begin calling the names of the graduates)
Principal: Jamel Raylin Price
Raven: that's my baby !!!(cheering)
Santana: let's go Mel !!!(clapping)
Jamel pov: my family and friends were cheering so loud for me and it made me so happy. Once the ceremony was over I made my way to the parking lot to find them.
Raven:congratulations!(hugs him) I am so proud of you baby
Jamel:(smiles) thank you tt
R/m: your dad would be so proud of you right now. You know that right?
Jamel: nods) yes ma'am
(Jamel's mother walks over to them)
Layla: congratulations
Jamel: what are you doing here ?
Layla: I wanted to see you walk across the stage. I miss you honey
Jamel: just go, you put me out remember. You didn't want to be a mother anymore
Raven: Layla right now is not the time. Let him enjoy his day
Layla: you are not his mother Raven stop trying to act like it (rolls eyes )
R/m: and you wonder why my husband kept your ass away, Layla you need to go
Jamel: she is my mother, cause unlike you she never gave up on me. Now Layla I wish you would live me alone
Layla: Jamel don't talk to me like that
Santana: yo shawty, my nephew asked you to leave so you should. He aint fucking wit you no more
