Rose and Mickey are at the counter while the Doctor, Andrea and Sarah Jane have put K9 on a table.
"Two quid, love." The lady says as Rose pays for a portion of chips and her and Mickey make their way over to a table near the Doctor and Andrea.
Meanwhile outside,Finch is standing on the roof of the building opposite the coffee shop, watching the Doctor working on K9.
"I thought of you on Christmas Day. This Christmas just gone? Great big spaceship overhead. I thought, oh yeah, bet he's up there" Sarah Jane says fondly
"Right on top of it, yeah." The Doctor says with a grin
"And you and Rose?" Sarah Jane asks Andrea
"We were there too." Andrea replies
"Did I do something wrong, because you never came back for me. You just dumped me." Sarah Jane asks
"I told you. I was called back home and in those days humans weren't allowed." The Doctor explains
"I waited for you. I missed you." Sarah Jane says sadly
"Oh, you didn't need me. You were getting on with your life." The Doctor replies
"You were my life. You know what the most difficult thing was? Coping with what happens next, or with what doesn't happen next. You took me to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, you showed me supernovas, intergalactic battles, and then you just dropped me back on Earth. How could anything compare to that?" Sarah Jane says and Andrea can see how much Sarah Jane loved the Doctor and can tell just how much him leaving hurt her.
"All those things you saw, do you want me to apologise for that?" The Doctor says back
"No, but we get a taste of that splendour and then we have to go back." Sarah Jane explains
