"Mom... where's Dad? He won't be joining us for dinner?" Anjana raised her brows because it wasn't like Ishita. She cleared her throat, "Umm... I don't know because I didn't call him downstairs." Ishita motioned Shina to call him Anjana stared at her in disbelief and mumbled, "Are you alright because you aren't behaving like yourself?" Ishita changed the topic, "Did you get those samples tested? What did it say?" Anjana sighs with a small smile, "Vikram is not his son... he's Mr. Malhotra's son."

Raj Kund walked down the stairs rolling his sleeves he noticed Ishita's presence and asked her, "What happened in the Goel Family? Why all of a sudden have Armaan resigned?". Ishita looked up at him and explained the matter in short. They had dinner together and left back to their separate rooms after it. Later that night Ishita knocked on Raj Kund's study doors he lets her in, "Can I have a word with you?". Raj looks up from the computer screen raising his brows, "Yeah... what is it?".

Ishita took a seat in front of his desk, "Why didn't you choose Vikram over me this time?" he sighed removing his specs, "He was just a helping hand to keep Kashika's desire fulfilled now I don't need him as the case is already publicized. Your mother might have told you he's not my son either so there's no reason I should support him." Ishita shrugged, "I had the idea of it as I saw Vikram's ID proofs which he was using while staying in New York." Raj expressed, "I don't know where Kashika's case will lead so I wanted to keep the family business in the right hands." She sits back comfortably and confessed, "I might hate you but I don't wanna see your ass in jail or dead."

Raj faked a laugh, "That's so comforting... anyways what brings you here..." she crossed her arms and declared, "Due to the fact that I recently discovered that I'm too much like you, cold and unfeeling, I will help you in this case as we both aren't a holy person. In times of hardship, we shouldn't stand against one another but instead should stand together to oppose the person trying to undermine our hard work. Furthermore, if you were jailed, my company's stock prices would also crash and people would drag Mehra Group into the mud." He nodded agreeing with her, "Yeah... I think you're right but I don't want you to feel used because of it. I created the mess so I should find a way out of it or go to jail in this case." Ishita stood up adjusting her clothes, "It's not every day I forward my hand for an alliance so better don't miss the opportunity."

Raj stood up and forwarded his hand, "I'll take it..." she smiled with a smug face and shook hands with him. He opened his arms Ishita rolled her eyes, "You know I'm not a hug kind of person..." he patted her cheeks, "C'mon it's not like we haven't ever done it... when you were in third grade and you won the race ignoring the part where to kicked the girl's legs. You came to hug me first after winning the trophy." She smiled weakly and hugged him. Raj patted her back, "You were always the one to be the winner and I never felt guilty that you're like me. I think neither should you be embarrassed about it because people who know to win no matter what is the one respected in society. No one cares how kind and humble you're unless you have the power and money which can control people's life. They subconsciously depend on you and eventually have to respect you."

Ishita nodded, "And I can charm the pants off anyone..." he gagged, "That's not a skill to be proud of..." she shrugged and smiled sheepishly. Someone knocked on the door, Ishita raised her brows at Raj he was confused as well, "Come in...". Amir stepped inside, "Sorry for coming here this late but I have news for you and you... what are you doing here Ishita?" She looked up and down at him, "Sipping wine in a robe... can't you see? What did you think that I wouldn't come here after the game you played with me in the court."

He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and mumbled, "I'm sorry... it was just to divert juries' opinion and it worked." She hummed in response, "But that doesn't mean I forgive you...". Raj interrupted, "Okay stop this bickering... tell me what happened?" Amir passed him the file, "Well it looks like Kashika is a bit trapped as we got a picture of recent where Mrs. Malhotra has beaten the shit out of her. Maybe she knows something because at times Kashika used to visit Mr. Malhotra at his house and she was friends with Mrs. Malhotra but the shit broke down when her husband's affair was out in public. I have a feeling that she knows the actual killer." He checked the pictures it was a mall parking lot, "Well that could be helpful we just need to either stuff her mouth with money or charm her with sweet words sharing her grief." Ishita raised her hand, "I can do that..." they looked at each other then nodded, "Okay...".
