"Mau, I'm just trying to lessen your problems because I got conscious!" He, yet again, cut my words. "Look- I-I'm sorry."

"Sorry? You're sorry pero inuulit mo pa rin, Hailes.."

Hailes reached out for my shoulders before pulling me for a hug. He place his head on top of mine. His grip was tight so I couldn't move an inch.

"Baby please understand me first. I will tell you okay?" I sighed before nodding. "Please don't be mad at this. Ang babaw naman-"

"Ang babaw pala ng kalusugan mo, Hailes?" I heard him sigh.

"I'm okay, Hevrea! I'm completely okay! The only thing that's not okay here is my quizzes. Yun lang ang kailangan kong habulin! Then, Let's do it together. Let's study together. Tuturuan kita sa mga lumabas sa natitirang quiz mo then you'll teach me also, okay? Problem solve na ba? Huwag mo na akong awayin, please? Ayaw kitang awayin."

I rubbed my eyes before nodding again. "Pakawalan mo muna ako."

"Ayaw. Ang lamig mo." His grip tightened. "Ano pa ang problema natin? Ano ang problema mo sa akin?"

"You and my problems. Can you tell me why are you meddling with my problems, Hailes? I didn't ask you to meddle with it."

I honestly don't understand why is he like this. I know he's my boyfriend and he has the rights to know my problems. Pero ang kulit! Bakit nangialam? Yan tuloy, nadamay na rin ng sakit at pagod.

"I told you already.. It's because I love you-"

"I love you nanaman-" Hailes immediately covered my mouth with his hands. I glared at him and he glared back, smiling.

Nak ng?! Bakit niya ba ako pinipigilan nanaman?!

"Bakit mo ba ako inaaway?! I'm doing this to protect you, and lessen your problems. I just want to see you smile again, and help you regain yourself," He said. "Ganoon kita kamahal, Mau. Hindi ko kayang ilabas sa mga salita lamang. Hindi ako makapali!"

I laughed. Anong makapali?

"What?" He looked down and pouts.

I took his hand from my mouth. "Anong makapali?" I chuckled. "It's mapakali."

Hailes's mouth formed a circle before he nodded like a kid. "Ow.. Got it, babe. Mapakali."

"Okay continue...." He coughed before continuing. "Hindi ako mapakali kapag naghihintay lang ako diyan. I can't just sit around and watch you suffer yourself. Your suffering is also my suffering."

"So please, huwag mo na akong awayin. Tapos na, Mau. The end na. Ginawa ko na and there's not turning back. I did what I want to do so I will take every consequences for you." His grip loosen.

Hailes rest his head on my shoulder and started to play with my bangs. I catched his hand that was playing with my bangs. I glared at him. "Ano ba kasi ang ginawa mo at bakit kailangan talagang mag-absent ng tatlong araw? Nag-aalala tuloy ako sa'yo. Hindi man lang nagsabi kung saan pupunta."

Hailes took his hand away from mine before wrapping it on my waist. "After I heard that the case against your mother was hindered, I helped your brother search for evidences, Mau. I skipped school because I was busy with your brother." My lips parted. "He was also testified by the prosecutor in-charge but the evidences he gave was not enough to lift the case. Your mother's boyfriend is too powerful so I tried to convince my family to help and support the case. And they did. The case was lift this evening."

"Akala niya ha.." Hailes smirked. "Hindi lang siya ang powerful dito. Hindi niya ba alam na ang boyfriend ng anak niya ay anak ng mafia?"
