Vivian woke up later than she had anticipated. It was almost 5:30 in the afternoon, and she felt dizzy and slightly hungry. Upon exiting her room, she noticed the increase of students walking through the hallways.
Students now occupied the previously empty rooms beside her own. The hallways weren't that narrow, but she strode closer to the walls to avoid bumping into people. Reaching her bike, she once again rode it to the cafeteria. Similar to the situation in the dorm, Vivian noticed a significant increase in the number of people walking around the campus. She even saw private cars entering the campus to drop off some of what she assumed were the higher grade students.
Sitting inside a black car that just passed by Vivian were two boys who were planning on what they should eat for dinner later. "I vote for pizza," said a familiar-looking golden brown-haired boy.
"No way, we just ate some last night. Aren't you tired of it?" the dark blue-haired boy wearing glasses asked back.
"We can order a different flavor this time. Don't you like that one pizza with bacon, onion, and pepper toppings? We can order that one if you like," the golden brown-haired boy tried to convince him.
"No means no, Albert. I also promised Auntie that I'd take care of you, so you can't change my mind," the boy wearing glasses said to his friend. "We should eat something healthier for tonight. Right, Eric?" Both boys swiveled their heads in the direction of where the black-haired boy sat.
Eric, who was minding his own business: ...why did you drag me into your fight?
Despite what he thought, the black-haired boy still nodded in agreement. Knowing his friend, Albert would and will not hesitate to eat junk food for his three meals for the rest of his life if nobody intervened.
Seeing that both of his friends had ganged up on him, he reluctantly accepted his fate. "Fine. You win this time, Gavin," Albert mumbled.
Glad that his friend gave into reason, Gavin changed the topic just as they reached the school entrance. Their luggage consisted of some new clothes that they had bought and electronics that they had brought home with them during the break.
The dormitory the school assigned them to was similar to an apartment complex. It was as tall as the academy beside it, and just like the rumors said, they received the best treatment on campus. Unlike the other dormitories, gold and black grade students had the privilege of occupying a whole apartment for themselves. They also had the choice to live alone or with other students of similar grades.
The gold grade and the black grade were essentially the same. What made them different from each other was that the students belonging to the black quality were focused more on the maths and sciences field while the students in the gold grade concentrated more on the field of arts and humanities.
Upon entering the dormitory, they bumped into some classmates and greeted them. The three occupied the highest floor, which only had three apartments on it—two of them were occupied by the three while one wasn't. The floor below them had 5, while the rest had eight on each floor. Gavin and Albert headed straight to the one they shared while Eric headed straight to his.
After a while, Gavin and Albert went to Eric's apartment since they liked hanging out there most of the time. Albert opened Stadium of the Best on his phone, planning to play for a bit while they decided what they wanted to eat when he also saw newplayer online. He invited him to a party for a Speed match and newplayer accepted.
Most Handsome (team): @new are you on campus already?
Vivian had just finished a short match before Albert invited her to a party. She accepted it since Speed matches tended to last faster than the usual ones, and she still had to wait for her food anyways.
newplayer (team): yes.
Most Handsome (team): A? Where are you right now?
newplayer (team): cafeteria. start find match.
Albert's eyes widened when he saw this.
Most Handsome (team): !!!!! Lets play later, ill go there and meet you first!!!!! Dont leave!!!!!!!
After that, Albert broke the party up and left Vivian in a ditch.
Vivian, who was invited and was immediately abandoned: ......
"Let's go to the cafeteria!" Albert suddenly suggested the idea to his friends. Eric and Gavin looked at him and wondered why he was shaking like an excited puppy. "Newplayer says he's there eating right now!"
Eric's eyebrows lifted a bit. He knew they'd bump into each other eventually but didn't expect that a chance like this would easily drop out of nowhere like this. He wanted to meet the player who could match his synergy in the game. Gavin was also curious about who newplayer was, so they all agreed to go to the cafeteria.
