Epilogue

5 months later.

Sumedh was standing in front of the court. Judge was looking at some papers.

"So are you asking for more time?" Judge asked.

"Yes my lord" Sumedh replied.

"What will happen meanwhile?" Judge asked

"We are trying to get them both on the same page for child's custody. Till next date I would request you to allow the child to live with his mother" Sumedh said.

"Fine. Counsel, I'll schedule the next date in next week" Judge said "See if the parties come to mutual agreement. If not then court will decide"

"Thank you my lord" Sumedh confidently smiled. Judge stood up after adjourning the matter. Sumedh bowed down a little and left.

"Haan main pohoch raha hoo" Sumedh said as he picked up his phone "Swamini ko lete aaunga"

Sumedh sat in his car and instructed the driver. As his car drove out of Pune Family court he looked out of window. He remembered the day when his life changed forever. The day when he came out of Mumbai High court and got the news that Amit's mother was no more!

So much had happened after that. He was married that too happily! It had been eight months since Swamini came into his life and his life was changed for good.

Sumedh dreaded the idea of fighting his own father's divorce case and after that his brother's custody case. Both his parents were fighting over who would Sumedh represent as a lawyer. Sumedh made them sit together and counseled them out of the divorce idea.

Abhimanyu agreed to not go ahead with the divorce and told Gopika to live away from him. Gopika lived in her maternal home for some months then Ridhi wanted to come home for her childbirth so both Ridhi and Gopika came to live with Swamini and Sumedh.

Swamini was excited for Ridhi's baby. She had prepared everything. Cradle, clothes, toys. For last two months Ridhi was totally relying on Swamini and Gopika for help.

Swamini very happily hosted a baby shower for Ridhi. Ridhi was feeling loved and brightness on her face was easily visible. She was heavily pregnant and Ruturaj was heavily busy in his work. For three months he had neglected his constituency but couldn't do it anymore. So Swamini, Ridhi and Gopika were the ladies trio living together with occasional visits from Purvi.

Today, Ridhi was taken to the hospital for delivery. It was past her due date but she showed no signs of labour. Swamini's exams were going on and she had to go to college. So When Ridhi went into labour only Gopika was there.

Gopika took her to the hospital and informed everyone. Now she was just waiting.

Sumedh's car stopped in front of Swamini's college. Swamini was already waiting for him. She got in the car as soon as it stopped

"Saheb we have to go" She said.

"Are haan haan.. Wo thik hai. Hospital me hai aur doctor hai uske sath" Sumedh said "Itna kyu dar rahi ho"

"I am not scared. I am excited" Swamini said "Aapko kya lagta hai? Didi ka beta hoga ya beti?"

Sumedh chuckled looking at her excited face "Jo bhi hoga.. Lagta hai labour room se bahar aane ke baad tumhara aisa excited chehra dekhne wala hai"

Swamini made a poker face. Sumedh laughed.

"How was your exam?" Sumedh asked.

"Ekdum easy" Swamini answered "Bahot hi jyada easy"

"Good.. Matlab sahi me bol rahi ho ya sarcastic?" Sumedh asked.

"Sahi me bol rahi hoo" Swamini said "Aapka kaisa tha aaj court ka din?"
