Movie Night

"Guys this is going to be too much for didi I am telling you" Sumedh said.

"Tumhe dar lag raha hai aise bolo na.. Didi ka naam aagey mat karo" Amit said.

Prithviraj laughed.

"Guys take your seats" Aaradhya said as she sat down beside Prithviraj.

"Main baithunga jameen pe" Sumedh declared "Sofe pe peeth tika ke mast takiya leke"

"Swamini vahini aap uske side me baith jaiye" Amit said "Ho sakta hai usko jaroorat pade aapki.. Dar lagne wala hai usko"

"Main sach me iski baatein ignore karta hoo warna roj jhagde hote ghar me" Sumedh said.

Swamini sat down beside him. She was looking happy. She remembered how awkward they were when Sumedh had cried in her arms. But there was no awkwardness between them today!

"Rudransh ko dikhani hi hai kya movie? Wo dar jayega" Sumedh said.

"Main nahi darta" Rudransh declared.

"Tum hi ho jo dar rahe ho.. Maan lo ab" Prithviraj said.

"Main dar nahi raha.. I care for my siblings" Sumedh said.

"They can care for themselves" Aaradhya said "Aap movie enjoy kariye"

Amit turned off the lights and everything became dark. Amit and Purvi were sitting on floor a little away from Sumedh and Swamini. Prithviraj and Aaradhya were sitting on couch and Ridhi and Ruturaj on another couch. Rudransh alone was sitting on sofa to prove that he's not scared.

Movie started. Sumedh was not sure about it. He looked at Swamini who's face was shining in the light coming from TV. She was busy watching the movie.

After half an hour almost everyone was indulged in movie. Their eyes were fixed on TV and a jump scare moment came. Rudransh screamed loudly. Everyone was already scared and his scream made it worse. Swamini kept her palm on her eyes. Sumedh was the only one who wasn't scared.

"Pagal log hai sab ke sab" Sumedh said "Maine bola tha aise jhaantu movies mat lagao"

"Gali mat do Sumedh" Ridhi scolded him "Rudransh hai na idhar"

"Sorry" Sumedh said.

"Waise jabse hum yaha aaye hai tabse galiyan kam ho gayi hai iski" Amit said "Warna ekdum typical hath me cigarette muh me gaali.."

"Shaadi ke baad sudhar gaya hai wo.. Samjha karo" Prithviraj said.

"Aap boliye hi mat.. Roj nayi nayi gaali sunti hoo main jab bhi station jati hoo.. Waha galiyo me hi baat chalti hai" Aaradhya said.

"Toh ghar pe nahi deta na" Prithviraj defended.

"Movie dekho na yar" Amit said loudly.

Everyone again concentrated on screen.
Sumedh seriously started watching. Movie was interesting and had a good story. But again after sometime he looked at Swamini. This time she also looked at him. Their eyes met for a second but then Swamini looked away.

Everyone was looking scared. All the couples were in each other's arms except Swamini and Sumedh. Rudransh was still trying to look at the screen to show that he's brave but in reality he was shit scared and could give up any moment.

Swamini was scared too. Her palm were on her eyes and she was watching through a little space between her fingers. Sumedh chuckled a little.

"Itna dar lag raha hai toh dekh kyu rahi ho" Sumedh slowly whispered in her ear.
Swamini, who was already scared, screamed.
