The family shown in this story is a little different. It's more traditional so you may find some things weird.. Like how they address each other and how their bonds are. Example you'll find that Gopika and Aaradhya addresses their respective husbands as 'Saheb'. It's an old and traditional way to address your husband. Also Prithvi is addressed as Bhaiyya Saheb because he's the eldest. There would be some caste references. But they won't be anything offensive or derogatory I promise. It is just to show how some families or people in society lives. How their everyday lives are. It is to show the truth without suger coating anything.. If you have any question you can ask me in the comments.

Traditionally women weren't allowed to go to Samshaan for last rites. All the women from family were back at home.

Alka had stopped crying but she was devastated. Aaradhya was sitting beside her and was comforting her. Purvi was sitting awkwardly because she didn't know anyone. Ridhi was trying her hard to talk to Gopika who was refusing.

"Mummy jau de na ata (Let it be now) Kar dijiye na maaf" Ridhi said "Do saal ho gaye na"

Gopika wasn't uttering a single word.

"Mummy Ruturaj bahot accha ladka hai. Janti hoo ki papa ke rival ka beta hai. Alag jaati ka hai par aap samjhayengi toh papa bhi maan jayenge" Ridhi was crying.

Purvi was feeling a little bad looking at Ridhi. Gopika wasn't hearing her at all.

"Mummy please" Ridhi pleaded "Ek baar mujhse baat kar lijiye. Ek baar bas"

Gopika was having hard time ignoring Ridhi who was crying.

"Please mummy" Ridhi sat down near Gopika's feet.

Gopika looked at Ridhi. Ridhi looked at Gopika and saw tears in her eyes.

"Ridhi" Gopika sighed.

"Mummy" Ridhi suddenly hugged her and cried. Gopika tried to resist but still hugged her back.

Purvi and Aaradhya smiled.

"I am so happy" Ridhi said.

"Ridhi. I can not do this. You know your father wouldn't like it" Gopika said.

Ridhi's smile turned into frown.

"Main kitna bhi chahu tumhare papa nahi manenge. Tumhe lagta hai maine try nahi kiya hoga? Maine try kiya hai, Sumedh ne try kiya hai. Saheb nahi maan rahe"

Ridhi was disappointed "What should I do Mummy? He always wanted me to be successful in politics I am doing that. I am still in his party. I am representing his views and believes"

"It's not enough Ridhi. He's hurt" Gopika said "Everyone is hurt"

Ridhi sighed "So This is never gonna work? I lost my home, my family for ever?"
