Swamini started feeling anxious again. Will his family like her? His father had disowned him already. She knew his mother was a scam. That leaves his siblings. His elder sister was very important.
"There is my newly married Brother" They heard an enthusiastic voice.
Swamini looked up. His sister, Ridhi, was standing on door with a big smile on her face. She was wearing a traditional silk saree, green bangles, mangalsutra and sindur.
"Didi? Thik ho na tum? Itna tayyar hoke kaha ja rahi ho?" Sumedh asked.
"Sumedh" Ridhi said in excitement "Main Ruturaj ke gharwalo se milne ja rahi hoo. Unhe kuch batana hai"
"Wow. Daaji ke gharwalo ne bulaya hai tumhe? Finally" Sumedh said.
"Nahi. Bulaya toh nahi hai" Ridhi said "Par wo sab jane do.. Apni biwi se milwao tum" She said.
Sumedh was about to introduce when Ridhi said "Ruko ruko ruko.. Aise nahi.. Aayna leke aao usme dekhungi main" She closed her eyes.
"Didi yar" Sumedh said "Kuch bhi. Dekha hai toh tumne use jab hum Mumbai aaye the"
"Bilkul kuch bhi nahi.. Jab tum log aaye the wo ekdum tumhare picche chhupi hui thi.. Maine thik se nahi dekha. Shadi pata nahi tum logone kaise aur kaha ki par yeh Sunmukh (A ritual kind off similar to Muh dikhai) wali rasam toh main karungi abhi" Ridhi said "Deepa ko bolo Ek aayna le aaye aur chini.. Main apni Vahini ko dekhungi aur uska muh mitha karungi."
Sumedh sighed. He knew Ridhi wouldn't listen. He told Deepa to come up with a mirror.
"Main Idhar baith gayi hoo.. Tum dono mere do taraf baith jao.." Ridhi said "Aayna main hath me pakdungi aur aankhe kholungi tab tum dono ka chehra usme dikhna chahiye"
Sumedh and Swamini sat down beside her on each side.
"Deepa aayna bada sa lana pura chehra dikhna chahiye meri Vahini ka" Ridhi said.
Sumedh chuckled. How excited she was!
Ridhi held a mirror in her hand and opened her eyes. She smiled as she saw Sumedh and Swamini's reflections in it.
"Didi yeh hai Swamini" Sumedh finally introduced whilst looking through mirror "Swamini yeh meri badi behen hai, Ridhi Didi"
Swamini touched her feet.
"Hmm. Khush raho" Ridhi said in a judgemental tone.
Swamini sat there with her gaze lowered.
"Mere bhai jitni acchi toh nahi lag rahi" Ridhi said "Sumedh isse toh bahot acchi ladkiya mil jati tumhe.. Kaisi choice hai tumhari"
Sumedh felt like telling her everything. Swamini wasn't his choice!!
Swamini felt really bad after hearing this. She was expecting a warm gesture from Ridhi because she had a warm personality. But this was something else!
"Kaha mili tumhe yeh Sumedh?" Ridhi asked.
"Umm.. School me" Sumedh told.
"Whatever. Kahi bhi mili ho" Ridhi rolled her eyes "Gifts leke aayi thi main iske liye par iska chehra dekh ke toh man hi nahi kar raha kuch dene ka"
Sumedh was awkward and Swamini was on verge to cry when Ridhi decided to drop the act. She started laughing.
"Kitna maja aaya yeh karke" Ridhi was laughing "Ab pata chala serials me vamps ko maja kyu aata hai"
"Didi? Kya chal raha hai?" Sumedh asked.
"Najar na lage" Ridhi again looked at Swamini through mirror and said dramatically "Kitni sundar vahini hai meri"
