The Silent Siren and Her Affectionate King

Chapter 15

Vivian and King snuck to the dragon's lair and attacked the creature while the rest went to push. At this point, both of their characters dealt heavy damage, so the dragon's health decreased rapidly. King then left Vivian halfway through and went to Most Handsome as planned.

Three of the enemies were handling Marshmallow and Killer, while two were with Most Handsome, who King joined after a delay. By the time the enemies noticed that one other player was missing, Vivian had already killed the dragon and was on her way to the enemy's base with it.

King managed to kill one of the two enemies blocking them, and with their team's minions receiving a buff from taking down the dragon, pushing became easier.

Vivian left the middle lane and approached the bottom lane to provide support. Killer's character was tanky but unable to deal heavy damage, while Marshmallow's character mainly was only able to do crowd control on them at late game. In a few shots, Vivian slayed one of the enemies and left the remaining two in low health, which forced them to retreat.

Most Handsome managed to kill the enemy while they were escaping earlier, and now he and King were assisting the dragon in pushing. The three in the bottom lane abandoned it and helped push in the middle lane, finally shattering the enemy base's life crystal and ending their match in a victory.

"Nice! Good game, everyone!" Marshmallow cheered when the 'victory' screen finally materialized, commending everyone on the results screen. Most Handsome cheered and clapped his hands through the VC, praising everyone. Killer joined in the celebration in the VC, and the three of them complimented each other on how good they were earlier.

On the other side, the losing team felt disappointed and patted each other on the back. Their opponents' minds and movements were also just too fast for them; they couldn't keep up with them during the last push. The post-game in-game chat suddenly received a message. Nobody left yet, so everybody saw the contents.

Seeing this, the stream chat burst into a laughing fit. A lot of the comments were also complimenting the group of friends on being able to hold out for so long. Marshmallow thanked them back for the fun match on the live stream, which made the group of friends watching the stream collectively tear up again from being noticed by their idol.

Vivian also commended everyone in both teams before sending out a simple "gg" in the chat box and leaving the party. She then saw a notification about an unread message in her inbox. She opened it and saw that it was from King.

KingoftheUniverse (private): youre also attending no 9 high school?

Vivian had no reason not to reply, so she did.

newplayer72836 (private): yes. just transferred.

King (private): so youre placed in the violet class?

newplayer (private): yes

King (private): i see. knowing you, i think we'll be able to meet each other soon.

Vivian's eyebrows furrowed in confusion when she read this. She wasn't sure what his statement meant, so she just replied.

newplayer (private): [thumbs up sticker]

newplayer (private): gtg, gonna do something else.

King (private): are you in campus already?

newplayer (private): [thumbs up sticker]

King (private): it's only 1045, why are you up early?

newplayer (private): to register. and going to explore the campus.

King (private): ah, i see. am i distracting you?

Vivian typed in a 'yes' but suddenly remembered what her grandma told her about being insensitive. She deleted the words and organized a new response.

newplayer (private): no, but i gotta go now.

newplayer (private): bye. [wave hand sticker]

After that, Vivian exited the game without waiting for a response. She didn't return to Marshmallow's stream anymore and stretched her body before preparing to go to the Campus Strip.
