Investigating

Y/N's POV:

I was with Turner, when the station communicated us a strange murder case. The person that found the body reported that it was bitten and there was a black substance around those bites

When we arrived to the quite hidden street and once I saw the corpse, I thought saying there were a lot of bites on it was an understatement, this was a havoc from pure rage. We only saw bones to identify a leg, half the head was missing and claws had ripped the person's chest multiple times

"Jeez! What happened here!?" Bill exclaimed

"A little of respect, please, Turner" The corner told him

"Heard that Anderson? Don't do that again, take notes" He says pointing to me and I just roll my eyes

"Do we know the time of death?" I ask the doc

"Yesterday between 7 P.M. and this morning around 6 A.M." He answers

" How can there be 11 hours of estim-"

"That's too long of a gap doc, we need something precise!" Turner complains cutting me off

"We can't be more precise, if we look at the way the body reacted to the injuries, we could say these attack were hours apart, but nobody would survive one of these 30 minutes without any medical attention

I nod "Do you know what anima-"

"I'll go ask questions to the witness" Turner says leaving

"Did you even listen to what the doctor just told us!? Time of death was the later 6 A.M. , they just found the body and it's 3 P.M.!" I say ... in the wind, visibly, because he's already gone

I sigh loudly "You were saying?" Coroner gets back to the subject

"Yeah, sorry. Do you know what animal can do that, I mean it can't be anything else than an animal, right?"

"A lion or a tiger who escaped the zoo could have done the bites, but the slashes...unless you find a lion the size of a bison, it won't correspond to any animal" He develops

"And what about the black thing th-"

"Witness said there wasn't anything around the scene but thick black blood-ish stuff and that the person had no ID nor wallet" He says "See? Always go see the witnesses, take notes" I can't believe I'm working with him

"I've never seen the substance before I'll have to do further analysis to comprehend it better. As for the ID and the wallet lieutenant Turner, the victim was left handed. If you haven't already notice the upper left part of is leg, right where his pocket is supposed to be,  is missing. I don't wanna steal your job, but I'll assume his ID and wallet have been eaten" The corner explains

"Smart! Anderson, take notes" I feel this is going to be a long after noon!

After an hour and a half of getting interrupted mid-sentence for useless questions, we finally get it trough!

We asked officers to announce the saddening news of the victim's death. Bill and I, then went back to the precinct investigating our OWN ways, happily.

I had worked a lot, search if New York zoo had lions or other feline missing, looked for anterior similar cases anywhere else, but nothing.

It was running pretty late, so I decided to go to the bar. I talked a bit with everyone in there, obviously, Jimmy was there and we talked for the most of the night, which made me think I still hadn't figured out what happened between him and Nat. I mentionnés her time to time and even though I could feel him a bit annoyed by her with my powers, he was totally fine about it.
