Rise of the New Clan

The Turtles return to Splinter and Draxum and inform them about the death of Karai, much to Splinter's heartbreak. An explosion causes the lair to be destroyed, as Shredder confronts them!

With Shelldon decapitated and Karai killed, the lair is destroyed, without a choice the Turtles have to evacuate with Todd while Splinter and Draxum fight the Shredder, and are defeated.

Yinu and April arrived back at the damaged lair, all abandoned and laid in ruins. When she hears weak moans, April and Yinu knew someone was alive, and finds an injured and dying Karai. April tries to help her but Karai said that she would be able to do it but she tells Yinu and April to teach them the Hamato Ninpō. April said that she and Yinu are not one of them but Karai said that she always has, and she slowly dies. April becomes teary eyed, but then Karai's spirit transfers into April's body and her clothes change into her Kunoichi form. Yinu then finds the Yokai necklace that was left behind.

As they travel to Long Island, Leo is furious with Raph for leaving them behind. Raph explains that he is the oldest and he has a plan to defeat Shredder. Donnie angrily asks how, because they have no weapons, lair, powers, sensei or gram-gram. Now without their weapons, they won't be able to fight the Shredder. To cheer them up, Todd takes them to Cuddle Cakes Puppy Rescue in the forest out on Long Island.

At the ruined sewers, Shredder was certain that draining Ikioi and Karai's life source would make him stronger. Lieutenant explains that they need an element called Empyrean in order to drain a Hamato life source. Draxum says that he has some in his old lab, much to Splinter's shock.

At the forest, the Turtles should try out the Ninpō thing and unlock their power. Todd says that can make the weapons for them, although theirs are destroyed. But he made gardening tools, much to the Mad Dogs' annoyance. Todd says that the tools are the first weapons in Japan to use.

Just then, April and Yinu returned and explained what happened. Mikey thought that Karai was alive but April would tell him to let go. Leo asks if the people are safe in the orb, April says that it's safe.

Above the waterfall, April tells them to access their inner power, have to stay calm and feel connected to one not another. However, the Mad Dogs didn't know how to and started to argue over it.

Suddenly, Reika saw a vision that she was in Japan many years ago. She then met Saki's wife, Celeste. She told everything about the Hamato clan because they had made a white lie. She begged her to save her husband and save all of humanity. The loggerhead agrees.

As she returns back into reality, Raph finally snaps saying that everything was depending on him. Reika asks him what was going on and Raph said that it's up to him and his brothers to save their father but he doesn't know how. Reika promised that everything would be okay until they started to dreamfest. Karai's spirit appears in their vision, much to their joy. Raph wonders what that word means since he had heard Splinter's mother say that to him. Karai reveals that Anata wa hitori janai is in Japanese meaning 'you are not alone.' She then tells them that they can trust the others the way they trust them. Like when Leo fell off the building where Raph unleashed his power and how Reika came to her senses when Shira hugged her.

The two lovers then peacefully let out a trust fall off a tree and Shira, Manako, Tomoka, Leo, Mikey and Donnie jump to save him, screaming out their names at the top of their lungs. But they almost feel like they are falling to their death and they kiss together for their last moments. Before they were about to die from the hands of the Hamato, something happened. The Sea Monarch spirits saved their lives and their Ninpō warrior forms transformed them to their true forms. Celeste then destroyed Karai by reproducing her into atoms and entered April and Yinu's body, now understanding the Sea Monarchs history. Ikioi felt ashamed, but Rin said that she was lucky to live in which the young Noko Yokai joined the Sea Monarchs. Now that their true powers and true selves are unlocked, they can now go back to New York.

From the Hidden City, Shredder tells Draxum to fetch the Empyrean to harness the energy. Draxum knew that day that Shredder was the real threat of the prophecy, not humanity. Draxum then tells him he will take him to the location to get empyrean. The Foot Recruit, Cassandra Jones and the Scientist were forced to leave Foot Brute and Lieutenant behind.

Meanwhile, the group comes and asks Big Mama for help, who was defeated by Shredder when the Foot Clan received her ring. Ikioi explained that Shredder tried to absorb a Hamato Yoshi's essence and how he tried to absorb hers. Big Mama understands and tells them that the only thing to find him is at a sacred place in Hidden City, the Crying Titan.

Shredder demands Cassandra to start the ritual, Splinter asks the recruit if having doubts about her choice and tells Cassandra and the Scientist "Is it never too late to change your path." Shredder then breaks open a krang ship revealing a krang skeleton and absorbs some Empyrean. Shredder then starts the ritual and tries to kill Draxum. Raph then throws his gardening tool at Shredder to save Draxum. The turtles then turn their gardening tools into their classic weapons, the twin katanas, nunchucks, sais, and a normal bo staff. The girls then had their own powers of their own. The turtles, April and Shredder start their final battle.

Shredder then knocks the turtles and April off the giant hand, except for Rin, Yinu and Ikioi and starts absorbing Splinter's Hamato essence. Rin and Ikioi reason with the two Foot warriors and beg them to help and call their real names. Ikioi asked them if they want to save Splinter or Shredder, The two Foot clan warriors, having a change of heart, stabs Shredder's arm and saves Splinter's life, In the process, Cassandra bent her naginata into a hockey stick, she then reveals her name. She then starts breaking the chains off of Splinter's Hamato essence, Shredder tries to attack but Rin defends her. The Turtles and April return to break the rest of the chains off of Splinter's Hamato essence.

The Turtles, April, Yinu, Draxum, Scientist and Cassandra then attack Shredder together and Rin uses her Hamato Ninpō and her mystic powers against Shredder. This forces Shredder to activate his ultimate for. Rin then thinks she failed everyone but Shira, Leo, Reika, Raph, Tomoka, Donnie, Manako, and Mikey tells her that she is not alone. Before Shredder could pierce into them, something blocked his way. A Sea Monarch member has appeared to help them. Then came a few more who encouraged them to win. Shredder doesn't know what was happening, because a few survivors of the Hidden City encourage them to stay determined.

Then Rin saw the spirit of Hamato Atsuko and the Hamato Clan and Splinter awakened. They all sense that every yokai and spirit can hear them. With their determination lifted up, they manage to defeat Shredder and the explosion causes a nearby star to turn into a giant purple star. Shredder's armor is burnt and crisp and was destroyed, freeing him. Celeste then leaves April's body and reunites with her husband. Karai was revived as a spirit and she thanked them for saving her family. Shira wished that they could spend time together and Karai told her that she'll never forget. Ikioi became so teary eyed, she didn't want Karai to go. Karai assures her pet that she will meet again and then tells them they will always be with them, before she, along with her father, mother and ghosts disappear.

With peace finally fulfilled, they return to New York and Draxum releases all of the people in New York City. Ikioi was now part of the Sea Monarchs and the turtles have become true heroes. It wouldn't have surprised them if someone made a movie about them.
