The Sea folk are ocean-like Yokai who live in the ocean of the Yokai world. Sea folk can't breathe in the air so they have to live in the ocean. Half of them sea folk are part land dwellers so they walk on land. For the sea folk after they are created, they have to go into the water world and find a sunken city to live like Atlantis. One determined sea folk, a female anglerfish Yokai, Jisu leads the group deep into the water to be safe from light. They found a perfect deep sea place in the trench and built their homes in the ocean. The sea folk never evolve in the water once but some oxygen tolerant sea folk can live in the land.

Many years ago, the organisms had evolved into sea monsters. Usually, they never went into the surface. They just hid from the humans when they hunted for them. All humans feared sea monsters that take things and eat human flesh. They use spears to hunt them down one by one.

These Sea Monsters are about the same size as any average human; they possess fish-like gills, sharp teeth and scaly shin. They also have webbed limbs and a long tail. While underwater, sea monsters wear moss as clothing.

They do come out, during night times. When their skin becomes dry, they become humans. If they make any contact with water. they change back into sea monsters.

When Jewn made the sea, many fish and marine animals were created. Now the sea monsters are formed by a human body and gained it's webbed body and long tail. It was created when someone drowns in the water.

Some sea folks have been lost and alone in the ocean so Jisu sent out her Kraken to save several inhabitants and formed a safe place to live with them, which is a colony located in the deep sea of the Atlantic Ocean. Most people like oceanographers witness the creatures and are sometimes on the news or a story. All over the ocean multiple humanoid sea folk are created and formed while the other sea creatures become their pets. Sea folk never encounter humans because many capture them in nets and are eaten alive.

No sea folk could ever encounter it in the daylight because the sunlight burns them. The legend said that if a ninja was born to death a curse inside the town starts to float and takes the sea creature into the ocean. The flooded town would be taken along with the ocean and be part of it.

This is how the sea folk, all fresh, salt, deep sea, light sea, and hybrids have come to live in the ocean and live in the Hidden City reefs. There are reefs and shipwrecks in the Yokai world similar to Earth, except the coral can glow in the dark at night. There are many thousand types of fish folk in the ocean unlike the real life fish they are alien-like.

Some pirates told tales about the sea folk and how they came to be. Some sea folk are a little shy around strangers but they have a taste of lotus cookies which would allow the sea folk to be a friend.

Many people heard tales about the sea monsters. Those sea monsters have different scales, hairstyles, eyes, and long tails. They talk like humans but they speak in sea terms that describe the human world.

Sea monsters are said to be of a folklore but it wasn't true. Some people believed in sea monsters and hunted them down. Some of the sea monsters don't seem to be hostile to any human they encounter.

Usually, the sea folk are Yokai. Instead of living in the human world, they lived in the Yokai realm where they came to be safe.

There are three types of sea monsters.

Fresh water sea monsters lived in swamps and forests and they only lived on land for a short time. They need to stay hydrated due to the water source. Sometimes rain would fall from the below for them to come out. They are quite a peaceful clan.

Salt water sea monsters lived in the ocean. They don't go on land because of humans. Usually they are salt water creatures because they sometimes make the freshwater lakes salty. Salt water monsters have lived in the coral reefs during their herd traveling around the ocean.

Deep water sea monsters lived deeper into the ocean. They are usually called Deep Sea Nightmares because they sometimes take the appearance of a deep sea creature. Due to the very bright sun the scary sea monsters had to live here because many sea monsters feared them.

And that is the way the sea folk came to be.
