So right after the Foot Clan was defeated, the Hamato took over and wrote the story. The Hamato's trust and hope had been replaced by sacrifices, distrust and defending the world. They had created this white lie that if anyone joins the Hamato, they will be honored and be truly sacrificed for defending the world by the Foot Clan.
Celeste had quit the Hamato because the sacrifices were too much. She made her own story of breaking the Hamato way to their true self. But not all quit the Hamato Clan. There was once a man who quit.
Hamato Yoshi is the son of Atsuko and grandfather Sho. He had a happy life until one fateful day, Atsuko said that she had to leave to defend the world. Atsuko promises him the sacrifice he'll make and the words ''anata wa hitori ja nai" were heard before she fades. Yoshi has never seen her since.
After his mother died, Yoshi decided to quit the Hamato Clan and join a movie production. It was his life dream of becoming a star. The directors chose him to become a fighter named Lou Jitsu in which Yoshi called his main role. Sho tried to convince him to come back and fulfill his destiny but Yoshi angrily refuses. Seeing his grandson truly cut his ties off his own clan, Sho chooses to respect his grandson's decision and leaves sadly.
After a few movies were made, he met Big Mama who was in a set called Crouching Shrimp Hidden Tiger Prawn. They fell in love and they started going on dates during their honeymoon. One night, when Yoshi told Big Mama if she could marry him, she revealed her true form to him, a giant spider with red eyes, greenish hair and purplish fur. She kidnapped him and took him to the Battle Nexus to fight. Yoshi seemed to enjoy it at first, but for a few weeks, he had lost his fighting mojo. After some time, two gargoyles break in and tell him that their boss was going to use him for his experiments.
Yoshi agreed to be Draxum's laboratory subject, but when he learnt that Draxum intended to use Yoshi's formidable human DNA to mutate four baby turtles into part of a genetically-cultivated mutant army to fight a perceived threat from the human world, Yoshi objected, not wanting the young turtles to be exploited in such a way. Draxum went forward with beginning the turtles' mutation, and Yoshi fought him. Their fight severely damaged the laboratory and caused a chemical spill, and Yoshi managed to escape with the four turtles in his arms.
Yoshi returned to the surface world, but his own exposure to the mutagenic chemical spill had started his own gradual mutation into a mutant half-rat, and it was also apparent that the four turtles had themselves started resembling human infants.
Unwilling to return to the Yōkai world that had exploited him, and unable to return to his human world, Yoshi took the turtle children partway underground to the sewers of New York City where he set up a lair for them to live in. The turtles were not only to be raised as Yoshi's own sons, but the mutations had in fact made the turtles become biologically related to him as well as to each other through him, where previously the five individuals had not been related to each other at all.
The man who had once been known as Hamato Yoshi and later as Lou Jitsu, put these old identities to rest, and when his four sons were not calling him "dad" or "pops," they only knew him by the name "Splinter." Splinter taught his sons basic ninjutsu, and they grew up deeply immersed into the film library of the actor Lou Jitsu, but as Splinter's mutant appearance had changed dramatically from his previous human form, his sons did not know their father had actually been Lou Jitsu, nor did Splinter care to tell them much of anything about his own past. After some point, Splinter had completely stopped trying to train them in ninjutsu, either.
At some point during the brothers' childhoods, they and Splinter befriended April O'Neil, a human girl from the surface, and she would come to have complete access to their home and family life as a kind of surrogate slightly-older sister figure. April lived with her mother Carol in an apartment, but would secretly spend much of her free time with the rat and turtles.
After twelve years, Splinter investigated the Foot Clan and knew about their entire story. They are trying to bring Shredder to life again. Splinter told April and his new friends the Sea Turtles about the Foot Clan. Splinter himself, however, did not believe the legend, and so parlayed his martial-arts skills into a movie career as the famous Lou Jitsu. Now, if the Foot reassembles the armor, their master will be free once again.
That was when that fateful day, Yoshi became a father of the Turtles and he will meet the Sea Monarchs soon and fulfill his true destiny.
