Classic Traditional Japanese Festivals

Yokai do celebrate festivals like Japan and North America. Usually, the Yokai can perform many festivals and holidays similar to human festivals. Usually, they sometimes did foreign festivals just outside the continent.

New year-A festival where everyone celebrates a brand new year. Everyone gathered at the shrine to celebrate the new year.

Chinese Lion dance-A Chinese holiday where the Chinese lion Yokai came to visit the Hidden City. Unlike the Chinese, they used southern lions. Some Yokai can dress as the southern lions as cosplay. The origin tells that Elfilin, the first Nightmaren, tamed a Chinese lion in Kumandra and became his companion. These lion spirits scare evil demons and protect their owner.

Valentine's day, and White day-a Valentine's day where women give chocolate to men while on White day, men give chocolate to women.

Emperor's birthday-A memorial day where everyone celebrates the emperor's birthday. It is also Moxie and Jewn's birthday. During the pink and blue moon, two two goddesses arrive on earth and bring the whole galaxy's stars to them.

Doll festival-a girl festival where girls celebrate. It all began in the early 1600s as a way to ward off evil spirits. It was thought that the dolls would act as good luck charms. The origin of Hinamatsuri most likely dates back to an ancient Chinese practice in which the sin of the body and misfortune are transferred to a doll and then removed by abandoning the doll on a river and having it float away.

Children's day-a festival for boys. Unlike girls, the boys make Carp shaped streamers outside and display dolls of famous warriors. Usually, they spend time with their families.

Star festival-A festival celebrated in Japan. Tanabata, also known as the star festival, takes place on the seventh day of the seventh month of the year. It celebrates the coming together of two stars – Altair and Vega – who are normally separated by the Milky Way. Therefore, during Tanabata, those celebrating the festival wish for good weather. Nightmarens will come down and release thousands of stars up in the sky and fly around the world.

Ocean day-A national holiday where everyone including the sea Yokai celebrate the ocean, The Yokai world said that a comet and aquatic life gathered there from around the world. Jewn, the blue Nymphojinn [My AU version of her] created this ocean and made water life magical. Her statue is at the bottom of the ocean

Mountain day-a holiday where the blessing of Moxie, the pink Nymphojinn [Also my AU] created the land. She clashed with Earthquakes and began creating valleys and plains and wildlife. That was then her statue was carved on Mount Fuji.

Mystic Dragon Ball-a dance where the Mystic Dragons are born when the Druun had been vanquished. It's a traditional ball dance where the Yokai gather at the Dragon's cave. That means it's the year of the Dragon. The Yokai celebrate it during Chinese new year with Chinese lions and song of the Nightmarens.

Halloween-an American festival where everyone celebrates Halloween. Unlike Japan, some celebrate Halloween although it is not a holiday. The undead Yokai can go out and won't scare any children since they already wore a costume.

Thanksgiving-a fall holiday where everyone celebrates where the wildlife gather food. Usually, they celebrate in the forest. Elves hunt for food by using their arrows while the breezies started making pastries in their little flower houses.

Christmas-a winter holiday where everyone celebrates Christmas. Also, the Yokai celebrate the Winter Festival. The Snow Yokai usually made white fireworks and crystal ornaments on the icy tree.

Nightmaren concert-During Christmas time, all the Nightmarens perform the best concert to all the galaxies. They all gathered down to give everyone dreams as the music plays through the stars. The Dance Nightmarens prepare the music as the lead singer begins the song.
