Now about eleven years later, after the Turtles were born, there was a company called Miyamoto Felicity Center, located up north in Canada built in 1984. The scientists are trying to figure a way to make mutations come alive and seek a new generation. It was a huge lab and local hospital where doctors and scientists work.
Rin was the daughter of her father Eric Miyamoto. She was born at the hospital when her mother passed away giving birth to her. Eric took care of her after all that happened. Every year on her birthday, the doctors gave her some of the special organism vitamins to keep her system going on, since a disease tried to take over her. Also, they were studying creatures and created four organisms of human girls with mystic blood. They are named Experiments A, B, C, and D. Not long ago, the scientists gathered some blood of sea turtles and injected some in the body matter. And when the blood worked, the matter turned into four human girls inside the status tanks.
Rin took care of them by making sure their status is normal. Eric started studying the old power and wanted to create the world a better place. Rin had made her clan known as the Sea Monarchs and was training real hard to become ninja. But she also acts like a princess and dances like one. Her full name was Rinku Mika Miyamoto in which her middle name makes sense.
When Rin was only five, she learned the ninja arts and started practicing. While searching around her father's office, she found a book with a butterfly symbol. She read it all day and night and she started practicing her skills. Her father doesn't mind borrowing his books for a while.
One day, Eric decided to drain the humanoid girls to create an antidote for the sick. After he left, Rin didn't know what to do. She knew that she loved the girls so much, she wanted to save them and wake them up from their mindless sleep. She pressed an adrenaline button but it seemed to be not working. She tried again and again. Nothing. Before something could get any worse, she accidentally hit a water bottle, causing it to get electrocuted. Instead of an adrenaline boost, the mutagen was sent into the girl's body.

This explains the following of the incident. Yinu, the girl who is in human form who works at the lab as a scientist, saw this and asked what she did. To make anything worse, the ooze started to rip though and cover the human girls and they mutated. That was when the Burst happened. Rin got pushed back and a bottle of purple mutagen splashed on her. She started to mutate in agony and pass out. The pink blob of matter started to take over the Lab Center, killing many people, including her dad. Yinu got away and saved some people and children and got away as fast as they did.
Moments later, Rin woke up and saw that the lab was in great peril. With the cages cracked and broken out, she saw that her sisters mutated. Experiment A becomes a Leatherback who lost her eye after the Burst started. Her eye had been slashed out by a knife, and her face had burnt up. Experiment B became a hostile Loggerhead. and started eating humans although her brain became damaged and was able to see gory life. She became hostile and started killing a few survivors. Experiment C became a Hawkbill that has unstable glitches, due to a computer error in her system that allowed her to glitch uncontrollably and manipulate. Experiment D became a Green Sea Turtle that has a genetic nerve disease called rabies whenever she gets dangerous.
Rin realized she mutated into a Grottan Sea Turtle, an Archelon that had been once extinct millions of years ago, in which she sometimes nicknamed it Grottan. And her disease had been cured when the strange mutagen absorbed her body.
When she came too, she saw Experiment B eating a human. The mutant loggerhead started to attack Rin but the Leatherback hugged the life out of her. This made the mutant come back to her senses and realize what she became. Rin knew she had to find the others so she and the others made them come back to their senses. They escaped the destroyed lab and took cover in the sewer.
Rin knew she had to find a way to survive and named her sisters. She decided to name them Shira, Reika, Tomoka and Manako as their Japanese names. She then started teaching the girls about human life and started training her new sisters as ninjas. After that, they started building their little lair in the sewer.
About a year later, Rin found a book near an antique shop and found a jellyfish fairy named Kurage. Rin kept the book with her during her adventure.
That was that fateful day that the new Sea Monarchs were born.
