When Edo, [Tokyo] was created, the people of Japan didn't have any companions in this world. When a group of kids found a small little Tsuchinoko called Luvi, hiding in the nook of a tree, they had trained them to be the warrior's companions.

These Nokos are like snakes so they shed their skin just like normal snakes do. They have different color skin tones and some different patterns on their body. All the Nokos can be the human's partner whenever they need them.

The female snakes are pink with petal-like hair, a single horn on their head and pink hair. Their upper half is yellow while the tail is pink with a yellow petal tip. The pink lace like petals around the torso. Heart like clips sprout from the two scales like ponytails. The eyes are blue with a V shaped mouth which the tongue comes out. Some people call it the "Kindling Snakes."

The male snakes are the counterpart of the female, except they are cobras. They are blue with a hood in which they have different patterns. The eyes are green with a jagged horn on the head. The skin was pale yellow with a blue tail with a thorn tip. The V shaped lace goes around the torso separating the colors. The teeth show fangs whenever it opens its mouth.

Females are Japanese dancers trained by women. The Japanese woman taught them about the meaning of life by serving tea, using traditional dancing, and painting. The female Luvis cam use a special healing power to heal wounds and create lotus flowers of the koi pond.

Males are tough warriors by men. Given by their warrior name, they were trained endlessly all time from fighting, lifting rice baskets, and using their venom. These cobra warriors are born from war and honesty.

Now Ikioi, the messenger of a clan called the Foot had lived peacefully unaware of the dangers. When she was only a little Noko, a Kumandra spirit gave her a scroll of a dragon saying that a person with a rainbow eye must save their home. Ikioi kept the scroll many years before she began as a teenager.

That was when bad things happened. Her master, Oroku Saki had been cursed when he put on the Dark Armor, giving him the name Shredder. She and Karai sacrifice themselves by banishing Shredder to the Twilight Realm, with Ikioi sealed into Karai's Yokai necklace.

After five hundred years, she had been freed and was greeted by a wise mutant rat named Splinter. Seeing that Shredder had been released, she feared that the village was destroyed. But April O'Neil said that the people are safe in this orange gem. Ikioi started spending some time with Splinter's sons and daughters, Leo, Shira, Reika, Raph, Tomoka, Donnie, Manako, Mikey and Rin. She then explains about the traditional Hamato Ninpo and tells Rin about the Dragon scroll, when all of a sudden, she senses Shredder is here.

The Foot clan destroyed their home, their weapons and even killed Karai. Ikioi was saved by Rin just before she was about to get her Ninpo absorbed. They escape with Todd the capybara while Splinter and his former enemy Draxum is captured.

After taking refuge in Long Island, April and Draxum's sister Yinu arrive, thanks to Karai's spirit transfering into April. However, Celestle saved the turtle's lives by giving them the Sea Monarch Ninpo. Ikioi realized that she was wrong about the Hamato law, and the group assured her to join the clan. With a new reformed self and new life ahead of her, Ikioi and the group destroyed Shredder and saved the world. With all three clans at rest, Ikioi became an official member of the Hamato/Sea Monarch Clan.

But Ikioi wasn't the only Luvi in the story, Oria is actually the first pet ever. Also, she was Rin's pet. As an egg, a mother Luvi laid her own kin on a stormy night. Oria's egg was washed out of the nest by a flood and was found in the sewers. After the Burst, Rin was gathering some useful objects until she found the egg which hatched. A pink and yellow Luvi had been born from the very start. Oria was the first Luvi in the Sea Monarch family and the new pet of the clan.

This was the life of a Luvi and how they are the companions of a human's pet.
