I opened my eyes, woken up by the lovely guys my cousin calls friends. Mariah and Aera were already off to work. thanks god. I heard them swing the front door open and walk in, screaming my name. Way to do it, guys.

"I'm upstairs," I yelled from my room.

Soon after, I heard footsteps climbing up the stairs and they entered my room without even a knock.

"You still in bed? What's wrong with you women?" Call exclaimed, walking in my room like he owned the place.

"What time is it?" I reached for my phone on my nightside table but.. "God damn it, I don't have a phone anymore." I remembered.

"It's 11 am and that's why we brought you a gift." Alexander gave me a sorry look and dropped some box on my bed. Not an iphone box, of course. That would have been the least they could do after not telling me about the fact Jake lost his phone.

"An alarm clock, gee, thanks." I rolled my eyes, burrying my face in my pillow.

"Hey, that's better than nothing. And we cancelled Jake's phone so nobody can call him anymore."

That made me remember that Mariah said she'd try to call him.

But his mom said she'd--"

"That's been taken care of. Jake
called her this morning to tell her about his new number and explain to her he was with his girlfriend. Thanks by the way. I didn't think you could put us into more troubles than we were but I was proved wrong," Call smiled sarcastically.

"So Jake gets a new phone and I get an alarm clock," I said, fed up with everything.

"We'll get that taken care of, promise. But for now, we have to do some castings and you have to come with us." Alexander begged, giving me the puppy look.

"Castings? What the.."

"We have to find some girl to be Jake's girlfriend, genius."

"Why?"

"Because Mariah is going to want to
meet her eventually and even though Jake looks like a monster right now, we just want to get that out of the way already."

Yesterday, I was throwing my phone in the river and now I'm casting a fake girlfriend for my injured cousin? How weirder can this get.

"Thank you." Alexander faked a smile and showed her the door.

"Guys, for real, you really should've added more details about what kind of person we were looking for." I let out, hiding my face with my hands.

We had been sitting there, seeing weird looking girls for about 2 hours. Most of them were either girls from school who had a huge crush on Jake or they were just too old.

"Well, then, we don't have a choice." Call declared, getting his phone out of his pocket.

"Wait, what are you going to do?" I frowned, unsure.

"Well, desperate times call for desperate measures." Call dialed a number and pressed the phone to his ear.

I looked at Alex and Caleb, hoping they would give me at least a hint or something but they were staring at Call with their mouths wide open.

"Call, we can try again. You don't have to do that." Alex begged.

"Come on guys, you know that's not going to work. And Mariah already knows her."

"Knows who?" I asked, confused. Of course, they royally ignored me.

"Jake made it clear he never wanted to see her again." Alexander begged.

"Oh please, we both know they have that weird I hate you chemistry going on. Hello sexual tension." He rolled his eyes.

"Oh for god's sake, who are you talking about?" I interrupted them.

They all seemed to remember I existed. Still, they remained silent like they were scared to say her name.

"We're calling Mia."

Dramatic music.

It's kind of funny considering I have no idea who the hell this Mia is and so that makes it absolutely not dramatic.

"Who is Mia?" I made a face.

"Jake's ex girlfriend." Caleb answered.

"Oh my god, you mean.."

It all came back.

"Yeah, the one you think we're talking about."

Jake only had one girlfriend in his lifetime and trust me, it did not end well.

I have a feeling this is going to be interesting.

In that moment, so called Mia picked up the phone. Call put her on speaker phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Mii. It's been a while." He
faked joy.

"Oh sweet jesus... What did Jake do this time?"

We all smirked. Call explained it all to her and even though she wasn't easy to convince, she finally gave in and accepted to help us out.

Call hung up and all of the guys glared at him.

"Now, how are we going to tell Jake?"

They all looked terrified. Bring the popcorns, folks.

"So, now that it's all settled, I suppose I can go back home, can't I?"

They all nodded and agreed to drive me home. I don't even know why my presence was needed to do the casting in the first place.

They dropped me in front of my house and were about to leave when they noticed a motorcycle in the driveway and then the guy who came with it.

Teo.
