Cold

Sophia huffed as she climbed inside the cab of the car. She liked watching the rain from her window, but she didn't quite enjoy being out in it as much. Especially not when her clothes were clinging uncomfortably to her skin. On top of that Spencer had pulled away right when she wanted him the most. So much so that she was willing to embrace him in the rain.

Blissfully unaware, Spencer peered out the window watching the rain crash down on the windscreen. It didn't look like it was going to slow down anytime soon.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see Sophia shivering. He turned on the engine and cranked up the heat. He clutched her hand. It was ice cold. "You're freezing," he frowned.

"I'll warm up soon," she chattered through her teeth.

"I'm sorry," Spencer rubbed his hands vigorously over hers in an effort to warm her up.

"What for?"

"I thought the rain would be fun, but that was insensitive of me. And know I have but you at risk of catching a cold. Especially considering you're still only just recovering."

Sophia yanked her hand back. "Don't do that," she spat out. "Don't blame yourself for everything." Then she softened. "I had fun Spence. That's what matters. A once in a lifetime experience. That's what you have given me. That is far more precious." She leaned over to Spencer and planted a kiss on his lips.

It didn't take much convincing for Spencer. His mouth began melting around Sophia's. Before they had been too cold, but know the heat was rising. Condensation was from in the car. The windows were steaming up.

Spencer pulled Sophia's head back by gently tugging the back of her head, but not more than a couple of centimetres from his face. She wined as he did. "You need to change out of these clothes," he muttered. "I can drive us back to my apartment. Is that okay?"

Sophia nodded; her eyes fixated on Spencer's lips.

Spencer cherished one more kiss with her. Then released her. Turned around to face the road and buckled his seat belt.

Sophia wanted more, but complied none the less, buckling her seat belt in turn, although making a big show of it.

Spencer leaned over her, assisting her as she thrashed about. "Are you trying to be bratty?" he mused.

Sophia was surprised. "No," she yelped in an unusually high-pitched voice.

"Okay, no need to get defensive." Spencer's mouth twisted into a smile that irritated Sophia. He was far more successful at ruffling her feathers than she was tonight.

She kept quiet on the journey to his apartment. She knew that would send Spencer's thoughts in for a tumble.

She was right. On numerous occasions, Spencer had contemplated pulling up on the side of the road and pulling Sophia over to his seat. The flimsy straps of her shirt likely wouldn't hold very well. But that was what he hopped for anyway.

He had glanced sideways at her. Then he wished he hadn't. Her nipples poked through the light material of her silky vest. Immediately he felt a twitch between his legs. He wished his slacks weren't so tight now.

After that he avoided looking towards her.

He couldn't avoid it once he pulled up in the parking lot of his building. "This is it," he sighed.

Know they were finally out of the rain and in the dimly light car park he saw soaked through Sophia's clothes were. His were much the same, but the dark colour masked it. Sophia didn't have that luxury.
