Chapter 34: Break

Umangat ang sulok ng labi niya at sa pagkagulat ko ay naramdaman ko ang kamay niya sa likod ko. He pulled me close and quickly kissed the tip of my nose. "Get inside fairy or we'll never leave this place."

"Just because of my heels?" I nudge his ankle with the tip of my shoes. "Ang hina mo namang nilalang."

A growl resonated deep from his chest and I couldn't help but smile. Binuksan niya ang pintuan ng passenger side at nilagpasan ko siya para pumasok doon. My front brushed him unintentionally and I felt him stiffen beside me.

"Eris."

Nag-angat ako ng mukha sa kaniya nang makapasok ako sa loob. "What?"

He sighed loudly and lean down so that he could reach for the seat belt. Siya na ang nagkabit no'n para sa akin. "You're going to get in trouble with what you're doing."

"Promises, promises," I whispered.

Our eyes met and for a second, I saw a glimpse of the fire burning inside him. It was quick but I'm sure of it. Naputol nga lang iyon nang dumiretso siya at isinarado na ang pintuan.

I'm not sure what's with tonight that our usual flirting feels different. Maybe it's because our vacation is ending and we both know we're going home to our usual routine and schedule. Being here feels like we're in our own bubble. Knowing that it's about to burst makes us want to treasure every moment more.

When Blaze got inside, he turned to me, "Ready?"

He started the engine when I nodded at him. The car purred quietly and Blaze smoothly navigated it out of the hotel.

"I like this car," I told him.

"I do too."

"Buy one."

Mahina siyang napatawa pero hindi naman siya tumanggi. Sa kanilang magkakapatid siya at si Sky ang hindi na mabilang ang mga sasakyan. Ang pagkakaiba lang nila ay puro motorbike ang trip ng kapatid niya.

"Ang weird mo," sabi ko.

"Why?"

"Ang lapit lang ng pupuntahan natin nag-rent ka pa ng sasakyan. Pwede naman tayong mag-taxi."

Wala pa atang dalawang kilometro ang pupuntahan namin. We could have used the Mercedes that we've been using our whole stay here in this country.

"It's a special night," he said with a shrug.

"Bakit?"

Nilingon niya ako bago niya inikot ang manibela ng sasakyan. "I haven't taken you on a formal date."

Nagkibit ako ng mga balikat. "I love our dates."

"And I love you." Inabot niya ang kamay ko at binigyan niya ng magaang halik iyon. "So suck it up and enjoy me being romantic."

I just rolled my eyes at his words. Romantic naman siya lagi. Kung titignan nga pwede ring matawag na romantic ang mga "unofficial" dates namin noon. Kahit sa McDo o sa Jollibee niya ako dalin, magiging romantic pa rin iyon kapag kasama ko siya. Though kung sa Jollibee... parang mas bagay na tawaging erotic iyon. Iba kasi ang meaning ng fast food chain na iyon sa BHO CAMP.

It took us ten minutes before we arrived at the place. Dumiretso si Blaze sa underground parking at hindi nagtagal ay nagawa niya ng maiparada iyon. He gave me a look as if telling me not to open my door before he went out of the car. Naiiling na hinayaan ko na lang siya.

When he opened the door on my side, I put a leg out after the other. His eyes dropped to my legs that got slightly exposed when the coat opened a bit. Inabot ko sa nakahandang kamay niya ang akin at hinayaan ko siyang tulungan ako na makalabas.
