I was finally in Italy I had my plane ready for Steve I was to meet them here at 9 and it was 8:55 so they should be here at any minute secertly I brought y/n barnes needed her for if he was alive and we was waiting "Howard why is she here she was never apart of our plan" I rolled my eyes " y/n is here because barnes will need her trust me on this you may be a hero but she is his" Steve agreed "fine let's get me ready to go everyone nodded and we got to work we secured Steve in the airplane and go into the outlook ready to direct him Howard had his head phones to talk to Steve and Peggy was in charge of directing and I was doing nothing. In no time at all Steve was mounting a solo rescue mission behind the enemy lines to rescue James.
Steve pov
I arrived at fortress grabbing guns ready to infiltrate I walked steady yet slowly then the army swarmed in I shot everyone down dead or injured seriously until no was left to be in sight up till Bucky I spoke int my ear piece " I've infiltrated the fortress of Schmitts it's a nazi division called hydra the. Doing science work load of it to no doubt barnes is being tested on" I shot prisions freeing everyone I passed no one deserved to be here to be tested on I opened every last cell till I reached barnes he had tubes all over him we was to late he was tested on " call the ambulance to the coordinates now everyone needs tests done to see if they're okay I'll stay here protect them all until everyone is at hospital safe hydra experimenter on everyone including barnes everyone was transported to hospital 5 hours later I was just waiting on them to call me to see barnes and finally the nurse said his name " barnes James" I got up at he was stabilised awake " so he seems fine nothing wrong no one was seriously hurt good thing you found all of them and barnes he's just gained more strength just like the super hero serum but he'll be okay to fight " actually he won't be going back no one in that war who was in hydras base will go back she nodded and went to spread the news "you okay James" he nodded vaguely and sighed " where is she is she okay" even in his darkest times he still cared about y/n " she's fine she's at home safe so will you be no more war I've resigned us both Howard has bigger plans for when ur out and fit but for now rest up he sighed " I think it's for a change of seen Bucky" I looked at him so confusingly " what do you mean Bucky" he laughs as if I was being stupid " I want to be called Bucky so iknow what I've been through no one expect y/n will call me James she only gets to because she's special " I just laughed and said goodbye staying in a hotel until he was better
