Stiles comforting Derek~

Derek was frozen in place kneeling on the wet cement, he still felt Stiles' hand on his shoulder but he couldn't say anything, no words would come out, he let Boyd die, he killed him, forced or not he wasn't sure how he was supposed to forgive himself after that. The whole pack was slowly exiting the room, none of them bothered to say anything to him which he appreciated, the only person who wouldn't leave is Stiles, Derek wanted to curl up in a ball and disappear from the world, he had no idea why Stiles was still there holding his shoulder, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to say,

"Everything will be fine," Stiles whispered, Derek didn't respond as he just let Stiles keep his hand there. For a while, they stayed in silence as Derek's hands continued to shake and he continued to stare at Boyd's body that was surrounded by blood, he felt completely numb and dead to the world, he only had one beta left and he knew he was bound to fail him as well, his emotions were going wild, Boyd had said it was okay but how could it be okay when he failed so bad? Soon after he was done sulking, Derek slowly got up with the help of Stiles and he was heading to the woods but a hand stopped him, 

"You should come back to my place," Stiles told him and Derek just looked at him confused, "You have been through a lot tonight, There is no way I am letting you go home by yourself, I can make you dinner," Stiles told him and Derek did not feel like arguing so he just nodded and walked toward Stiles' jeep, Stiles nodded in confirmation as things stayed silent between them.

When they got to Stiles' house, There was no one home, Stiles had guided him to his bedroom as he went to prepare some food for them. Stiles had a nice room and his bed was comfortable so Derek had no problem sitting in it as Stiles was busy elsewhere, Derek was confused as to why Stiles was doing all this for him, all they did was bicker, sure they saved each other enough to trust one another but Derek didn't think Stiles would do this for him, usually Derek would argue but it was something to do with they way Stiles looked at him that had him staying in his place and letting this happen, he knew if it were anyone else he would argue no matter how close they were, Stiles just had this way with him.

"Food's ready," Stiles came in and handed Derek some noodles, "It's shrimp flavour, hopefully, that's okay," Stiles told him as Derek nodded silently, he would have to thank him as soon as he grew the courage to talk,

Things remained silent between them as they ate, Derek appreciated the silence, especially with how loud Stiles usually was. Derek had to admit he was feeling a lot better now that he had eaten something and had been able to relax, he knew if Stiles hadn't stopped him, he would just be pacing the woods wanting to relieve his guilt and anger.

"You don't have to say anything but what happened was not your fault," Stiles whispered breaking the silence, "I know you are going through this whole blame stage but I want to tell you early on that it isn't your fault, and I'm here for you, I can't imagine what you are feeling but I want to be here for you," Stiles told him, Derek nodded slowly not that he believed him, 

"Thank you, Stiles," Although he didn't believe what Stiles was saying he still made sure to thank him even if it was in a whisper, 

"You can stay here for the night if you want," Stiles offered, "I wouldn't want to be alone," Stiles rubbed his elbow as he set his bowl down,

"I will, Thank you," Derek gave a small smile, Stiles nodded in response and they were both quiet again. 

Derek still felt numb but it was completely bearable especially after Stiles put on a movie for them to watch, Derek never knew being at Stiles' house could feel so comforting as it was but here he was. 

"Supernatural?" Derek questioned, Stiles looked over to him and nodded in response, "Dean or Sam?" Derek asked,

"Dean, Of course," Stiles chuckled, "How about you?" Stiles asked,

"Same," Derek told him, Stiles smiled as he did a small victory, "I mean Sam is great but there is something about Dean," Derek shrugged,

"He's hilarious," Stiles pointed and Derek nodded in response, "I mean, obviously I love funny," Stiles chuckled,

"Yep," Derek agreed as he looked at the screen, "Thank you for today," Derek told him,

"Anytime," Stiles nodded, "I know dealing with things by yourself isn't the greatest," Stiles looked down as Derek nodded silently.

Derek wasn't sure what else he should say so he decided to just stay silent, as the silence was nice. He knew he owed Stiles for doing this for him, Stiles always found a way to impress him.
