It's okay to not be fine

Draco's eyes were glowing. His cheeks were flushed in a delicate red, and he was breathing heavily. The wind had ruffled through his hair; small curls fell into his eyes. He looked free, as if the wind had taken his worries away from him.

I took off my scarf and tied it around his neck. "You look cold."
He raised an eyebrow. "A Hufflepuff scarf?"

"And you're wearing muggle clothes.", I said, shaking my head. "Salazar Slytherin is turning in his grave." He snorted. "I bet he is."

"Where's the snitch from?"

Draco shrugged. The small golen ball danced like a coin across his nuckles. "I don't know, but I caught it."

"Good job."

"I know.", he smirked. "I'm a great seeker."

I laughed and grabbed his hand. His fingertips were blue.

"Niela."

"Yeah?"

"Would you consider loving me?"

I'd often wondered what love was. Liking someone didn't mean you loved them, attraction didn't, either. I could say I loved how caring he was, or how beautiful, or how smart. But I would still love him if he were to change, as I didn't think of love as an emotion tied to a trait. It was tied to a person, tied to him.
Maybe one just knew when they're in love; I knew I was, when I looked into those silver eyes, waiting for an answer.

"I already do."

He looked at me, eyebrows raised in surprise, with a hint of pink spreading across his cheeks. "Glad to know the feeling is mutual.", Draco said, and bent down to kiss me.

A few days later, McGonagall pulled me aside after transfiguation.
"Are you feeling alright, Miss Eletherya? You didn't look too well when we left the lake."
"I'm alright", I reassured her. She pursed her lips, but didn't say much more.

'I'm alright' and 'don't worry' had become my go-to phrases when talking to people.
Everyone walked on eggshells, as if I'd get kidnapped again if they didn't pay attention.

But it was my fault, though. I should've stayed and paid attention.

It was Cowan and Deirbhile's fault. Nobody else's.

I know, I just ... I'm sorry.

You've said that about fifteen times in the last three days.

Agapi flew out of my pocket. "That's because I really am sorry." Tears rolled down her tiny face. She sniffed heavily.
"Tissue?", I offered. The spirit only shook her head and flew back in.

"Guess what.", Laurel said. We were at lunch, with Allie sitting next to us. Everyone just kinda sat how they wanted lately, despite the assigned tables.

"What?", Cecily asked.

"I've got a letter from your favourite ,"
- Cecily groaned -
"Amalia!"

"And I'll have to translate it? Again?"

"Yes. I made you muffins."

"You're terrible, Laurel Slughorn.", C-lily sighed, taking the letter. L handed her a plate of vanilla muffins, which wandered right into Allies mouth."Stop stealing my muffins, Allie."

"You know you're my favourite, Cecily."

Cecily shook her head and began translating, though a very warm, fuzzy feeling spread all over the table. They were cute to watch, these two. I stood up.
