Despite having San's makeup at his disposal, Wooyoung calls up Mingi at 5 in the morning to ask if he has an extra scarf.
"I do," the taller answers, confusion clouding his tone. Yunho probably never told him about what happened Saturday night, and Wooyoung is relieved. "But why?"
"Uhh," Wooyoung rips through his wardrobe for something suitable to wear, "it's really, really cold right now, so I need something that'll cover me up."
"Alright," Mingi says, voice much deeper than usual due to sleep. He's moving, Wooyoung can tell, and he's grateful at how willing Mingi always is to help. "I only have a black one though."
"Perfect," Wooyoung answers, taking out dark jeans as well as a black bomber jacket. He doesn't wear darker-toned colours a lot, especially an all-black outfit, but he figures the change will be good. San will probably dig it as well, considering he wears black a lot. "Send a pic?"
Mingi soon does, Wooyoung searches for another black jacket to go with the loose material of the scarf.
"You nervous for today?" Mingi asks after a few seconds of Wooyoung colour-coordinating his future outfit. "The sex-ed presentation, I mean. Don't know why Yunho's dad wants us to talk about gonorrhea and chlamydia in front of the other students so badly. Are the pictures of bacterial assholes not enough?"
Wooyoung has to admit he'd completely forgotten about the project they had; the project that brought him and San together in the first place. Yesterday had been a whirlwind, with him getting a little heartbroken by San's words then not -- to him wearing concealer all morning to hide his hickeys from his mom (something he never thought he'd have to do his entire life). Then San came in the evening to return the clothes he'd left at his place, which led to his mother making the guy a nice cup of hot chocolate which he readily accepted.
And now, at five eighteen in the morning as Wooyoung contemplates dressing a little different to surprise and please San's tastes, the stupid little project completely slipped past his mind.
Wooyoung starts to internally panic. Just a little.
"Woo? You there?" Mingi asks.
"Yep, yep," Wooyoung reiterates to sound as chill as he possibly can. But it's hard when public speaking's been one of his weaknesses for as long as he can remember. "I'm here. And I'm not nervous."
"Hey," Mingi says, totally not believing him. "Remember what your mom said whenever you got scared of presenting in front of the whole class?"
"I don't get scared," Wooyoung defends himself, but he doesn't know who he's fooling. "...Fine. I get a little scared. Just a little. And mom said to imagine the others as silly bears in circus costumes and all."
