Sam, Dean, and myself stood outside of some small diner trying to figure out where this demon is we're looking for. I'm sitting on the hood of the Impala as Dean leans against it. Sam stands in front of us talking about a suspicion he has on where to look first. My mind can't even focus on what he's saying because all I can think about is Cas.

We broke up two weeks ago and it wasn't my doing either. He broke up with me claiming that he can't do this anymore and it's too much. I found that odd when we were doing so good and just the day before he was saying how much he loved me. He mentioned that he still loves me and always will but we're growing apart.

Ever since we broke up two weeks ago we haven't heard or seen from Cas since. Dean tried calling only to reach his voicemail. The Winchester's have been walking on eggshells around me thinking that if they say one wrong thing I'd break. It's annoying but they're only trying to protect me. I love them for caring and so I never said anything.

Sam noticed me not paying attention and snapped his fingers in my face. I jumped slightly and looked between the brothers as they stare at me. "You okay?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, you don't have to do this if your not ready." Dean added. I sigh and shake my head at them.

"Guys seriously I'm fine. Castiel and I are over and forgotten. So you were saying that the demon might be possessing the body of a child?" My brow raises as I look at Sam. The brothers share a look before changing the subject back to the case.

"Yeah we think it's because he knows there's less chances of us hurting a kid than an adult." Dean says.

"Our job here isn't to hurt anyone other than that monster." Sam adds. I nod and we get into the car before leaving to head back to our motel. We still don't know exactly where this demon is, only that he's possessing the body of a child. When getting back we did some more research but my head went back to Castiel so I stood up and decided to get some air.

"I'm gonna go outside and take a breather. Let me know if you guys find anything." I say. They nod and I leave and start walking until finding the motels pool. I sit down on one of the chairs and look at the dirty water that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months.

"Imagine the diseases that water carries." Someone says causing me to look over and see a small girl. She couldn't be older than seven years old. She looks...strange. My guard went up and my first thought is she's our demon.

"Uhm yeah probably a lot," I played along as she took the seat next to me. It fell silent as my hand secretly and quietly reached for the demon blade in my boot. She must have noticed because the next thing I knew I'm on the ground with her hand around my throat. "Honestly how strong can you be, possessing the body of a little girl?" I glare.

"You humans are so stupid." She smirks. The grip around my neck tightened as I tried fighting her off. Eventually I got her off me and took out my demon blade. She laughs and looks at me as if I'm stupid.  "Are you really going to kill an innocent child?" She asks me.

My heart stopped realizing she's right. There is no way in hell I'd ever hurt someone like that. So killing this monster will be harder than I thought. Before anything could leave my mouth I hear my name being called by Sam. "Go ahead, call for backup. I've always wanted to kill a Winchester." She grins.

"Y/n what's going on?" Sam asks as him and Dean come around the corner. They look concerned until her eyes went black and they immediately got out Angel blades. "Your the demon." Sam states.

"And your a Winchester. I'm sorry are we stating the obvious?" She laughs. "Now where were we? Oh right I was going to kill you." She starts coming towards me and that's when Sam charged at her. She used all her force to shove him into the building causing him to fall straight on his face.

"Your an evil little son of a bitch," Dean glared at the girl and she smiles at him. She shoved him back as well causing him to fall, hitting his head pretty roughly, knocking him out. I groan and charge at her, dodging a few of her punches until she got me down and held my knife against my throat.

"Anything else to say before I kill you." She glares. I start to say something but she was pulled off me forcefully. My eyes widen slightly seeing Cas standing there looking down at me worriedly.

"Castiel." She says in complete fear. Something tells me this isn't their first encounter together.

"What did I say would happen if you tried to hurt my friends?" He glared at the demon. With fear the demon left the girls body and disappeared. The poor girl looked around confused and scared. Sam took her and said he would help her find her parents.

"Are you okay?" Cas asked as he helped me stand back on my feet. I nod and thank him for saving me. "I'm sorry about everything, about the breakup. It's time you knew the truth." He sighs.

"The truth?" I frown.

"Two weeks ago I got word from one of the angels that a demon was looking for you. Apparently whoever is running hell now, wants you dead. The angels thought it would be safer for us to spend some time apart. I'm sorry and looking back that was a stupid idea." He apologized.

"Cas we have been together for so long that you can tell me anything. We get through these things together." I remind him.

"I know, please find it in yourself to forgive me. I miss you, more than you know."

"I...I miss you too Cas." I let out. He rests his hands on my waist and leans in closer to me.

"Y/n I love you." He whispers. Before I could reply he leans in closer, closing the space between us in a heated kiss. It felt strange kissing him after this long and I savored the way his lips felt against mine. We soon pulled away and I gave him a soft smile.

"I love you too, Cas."
