Does she see the monster within
Is it what is loved
Grotesque and self-loathing
What is attractive about this
Is it the pain that glints out the windows
Fixing things that are broken
Smiles that choke back the vomit
Yet toxic words slip out
To love or to breakdown
Smashing the brick wall of security
Or putting it back together a compliment at a time
Mirrors reflect the undesirable
The unwanted the unworthy
It's locked away inside
Buried deep, but rotting away
Necrotic tissue moving towards the surface
But still I'm loved
But what is there that could be loved.
