I was meant to be free
Not trapped by the chains of society
The labels that are assigned
Seem to block us in and bind
I was meant to be free
Free from what they say I should be
Work nine to five
Pay bills and die
These chains laden with judgment and expectation
All this weight is like led shoes
Led shoes lead to dead shoes
A waking and walking corpse
Nothing more than a zombie
I was meant to be free.

PoetryThis is a collection of poems that I have written about my struggles with depression, anxiety, love, nature, and the darker aspect of the world that seems to always hammer on my heart. I hope this reaches some of you.
