Chapter Thirty-Six

Start from the beginning

Though the satisfied look of both Enzo and Rebekah made a rather loud scene as they made their way down from the upstairs bedrooms, leaving everyone to give them a quick once-over look. Not that the crowd needed to, the pheromones were high that Enzo's disheveled hair and Rebekah's tinted cheek were a clear indication.

Especially when Enzo was beaming with color back on his face as well/

The smell of their love caused the pain in Sage's heart to set back in, and so she snuggled into her father's side to look for comfort while he continued off with his grand scheme.

Dinner was called, which allowed the entire group to settle at the dinner table and converse on what the plan is. As of yet, they were still in a remote area—But the find had been lucky, since there were operational kitchen supplies and food. Hayes also voiced that the statement on his credit card could give them a lead, so for whatever purchase that was made would need to be on Sage's.

"Remus is a smart male, we need to make enough noise as possible. Hell, we need to max out the card if it gives him a location." While Sage didn't understand what that meant, not when the majority of her attention was selective after enjoying the warm meal they've just enjoyed. And she certainly didn't turn up the Mac and cheese platter, or refuse another serving of it when everyone was finished.

So she asked the question that was still eating at her thoughts now.

"When we leave on bus tomorrow, what happens after?" Hayes turned to his daughter and gave her a light smile. "From what the ranger said, there are enough seats for all of us and it'll take us to the nearest bus port. The issue is we're at the bottom of Wyoming, could take us a few stops before we land at the right one." It was a viable option, sure. But with so many people and the crowds.

"I dunno, Alpha. It'll be hard with three pups and ten adults? It's not like we're calling ahead either." Jackson said, causing Blake to chuckle. "What's your plan then? Buy a motorhome and hall our asses all the way up to North Dakota?" The male said in a tease as he started to clear up the dishes.

But Hayes had his jaw dropped as he turned to the former rogue. "It's settled, when we get to the bus stop we'll regroup and find the nearest dealership...Sage hun, grab a pen and paper—We need to practice a signature." While it left the Luna with her arms crossed and pouting as she certainly knew how to write her name, it didn't occur to Blake right away that his idea actually passed.

"Y-you're serious?"
"At the rate the public busses are going, we'd be wasting time with all the unnecessary stops. This one never sleeps. And if he gets tired of driving, we can rotate. It's comfortable, can store and cook food, has storage...Good job there, Warren." Hayes' praise had come as a shock to Blake's system, it was one thing to hear Sage's words of approval. But her father's was hard to receive, unless it was Sage herself.

Liam felt his back lean further into his chair. He couldn't imagine the chaos Crescent Moon was facing because of Remus' and the rest of their families' panic. They needed to make the most of it, and if that meant being loud with money then perhaps it was the best idea.

"I agree, we can just keep driving—Stop at a store and pack food for the pups, buy a GPS. The works." Hayes nodded before nicking his head towards Sage.

"What do you think the Alpha's limit on his card is?"
"Goddess, fifteen thousand? Do you have the pack card, Sagey?" Sage perked her lips and went to go to her suitcase and try to find her wallet.

"Which one pack card?" She questioned, and Hayes started to laugh in seeing the contents of his daughter's wallet. The amount of hundred, fifties, and twenties were stuffed inside. Making it pop out, and better yet, she had three cards.
