It's been nearly a month since I first sleepwalked into the Forbidden Forest, and I am still no closer to finding out why I am doing it or how. Not one night has gone by where I haven't gone into the forest in my sleep. And nearly every night, I have gone into the library and checked every single book I could get my hands on that had to do with sleep, and every night, I found nothing.

And one of the scariest parts of the situation is each time I wake up in the forest, I am further away from the castle. Last night, I was more than a mile away.

The only good thing about this shitty situation is that I still haven't woken up Rhysand with my sleepwalking. I also haven't been caught walking through the castle in the middle of the night in my sleepwalking state yet, which should be impossible. Awake, I manage to avoid teachers and students but asleep? It's a miracle that I haven't been caught yet.

But the greatest silver lining of this whole situation is that Tom Riddle has not seen me sleepwalking. He is completely ignorant of my problem, thankfully. If he knew about my sleepwalking issue, he would exploit that weakness in every way possible.

But it's only a matter of time until he finds out.

Headmaster Dippet taps his silver fork against his glass goblet, getting the attention of all the students in the dining hall, including me. The chatter in the large room quiets in a matter of seconds, and we all turn toward the headmaster. "I have a brief but very important announcement to make," Headmaster Dippet announces, his voice echoing through the dining hall. "As you know, students are forbidden to go into the Forbidden Forest because of all the dangers that lie just within the trees, but I must stress this even more because of recent events," he announces, causing my heart rate to increase in anxiety. He can't possibly know I've been in the woods at night. Can he?

He steps down and the Transfiguration teacher, Albus Dumbledore, steps up to the golden podium. "The Forbidden Forest has become more parlous for all who attend this school. Parlous enough to make the chances of making it out of the Forbidden Forest unscathed exceedingly low. The Ministry of Magic has asked Headmaster Dippet to prevent all students from entering the forest to protect their own safety."
