Jangmi sat on folded legs, eyes glued to her lap, frozen in space like a glacier floating along an icy ocean. The darkness had yet to depart in face of the morning and only streaks of deep, deep blues were peeking through the curtains. Chilled breeze floated around, rendering her fingers inanimate.

A dizzy sensation bounced off the walls inside her head, infusing a nauseous venom. A bitter taste culminated at the back of her throat. Jangmi buried her fingers inside her fist as she sat despondently beside the pyre of her repose. The back and forth of the voice in the living room kept growing louder.

In an order of the normal, she shouldn't have been this nervous to face Chaewon, and yet her body couldn't move from the stance. Her heart was plummeting in her chest like a wild horse on a spree. She could hear her yell all the way inside the room. Making out Yujin's responses was very difficult because apparently, the man was using a much lower tone of voice to conflict her opinions. Jangmi remained in the lull, at sixes and sevens.

Her dried lips parted with a gasp when the thumping of their footsteps amplified, wanting to shake the room she was in, too. Her breathing hitched when the words became clearer to the ears.

"Chaewon can you stop this?" Yujin roared.

The momentary struggle was obvious with the times the latch noisily opened and shut. Awkwardness bloomed in the bedroom like a bed of roses and she was completely out of devices to play safe or save herself.

Chaewon's face was plumped with tears and redness when she threw the door open.

Everything was over. It was the end of it all. Jangmi forced her mouth to shut the lid as she slowly pushed her feet out of the bed and on the cold floor.

"What are you doing here?" Chaewon asked.

"Chaewon, Chaewon." Yujin fenced the distance between the girls, standing like a wall. "I dare you to start something I wouldn't like. I dare you."

"You fucker." She grunted from behind him. "Why did you take it this far?"

Jangmi's stomach twisted and her feet met the floor, terrified of the sight she beholded. It was a lie. It had to be.

How could this happen and what reason did it have to happen? None. Nothing.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Yujin yelled. "What proof do you have that something did happen between us?"

Something happened? What in the world was the problem with this woman?

"Because you always praised Jangmi more than you did me!" Chaewon shouted back, accusingly pointing at her. "You have her in your bedroom in my clothes! What am I supposed to think of this?"

To a stranger this would look collusive and it wouldn't be blamed on them. But how could someone so close dare to reason it out before any explanation was offered?

"Chaewon you really think this about my conscience?" Jangmi mumbled under her breath, falling short of enough breath to radiate the confidence.

"You tell me! Justify your conscience to me and Taehyung then!"

"I have done nothing! I'm here because I had a panic attack at night and had nowhere to go!"

"So why not Kobin? Why the fuck not Taehyung? Do you fucking expect me to believe that?" Chaewon raged, pushing Yujin aside as her eyes tore open like the flap of a pitcher. It looked like she would swallow Jangmi alive.

"This is what the problem is Jangmi." Yujin said, looking at her. "I can't bear this kind of behaviour. She drains me out."

Jangmi could see the venue of those words. Wist squeezed her heart when she espied Yujin's mien. He was painfully in the right here. With the fashion of Chaewon's behaviour, it couldn't be not possible to feel distraught or angered or maybe even depressed about it.
