"He thinks he can handle the pups on his own." Alpha Hayes informed, and Luke choked. Goddess, he wished Remus the best.
The Master of Arms had watched them while Sage took a quick shower upstairs and he was as thankful as his father must have been, that his pups wouldn't be able to shift that early.

"Uh, he knows that they crawl now, right?"
"Nope. But she's on a mission that he won't hide anything from her anymore—Karma, though I'm not going to put the blame for this war on one person. This was at a long time coming." Luke growled to share his own stance on the matter, though he did hope that his Alpha was prepared for the trials of babysitting.

"Do you remember what I told you?" Hayes eyed him, his voice semi-low in terms of letting another pack member overhear their conversation, but Luke shrugged it off.

"Is there any logic to that? Or is it a theory?"
"A well-backed theory, it's why most of the Alphas are similar in age. Harlow isn't much older than Remus, and Drake isn't much older than Issac.

Luke didn't want to put the expectations on a theory to the idea of his mate's heat in a timely manner, but he also couldn't just disregard it completely.

Remus was older than both his Beta and Delta, which has been recreated with the twins—And now Eli and Julia have the chance?

"Winter will stall the war, it's the holiday season and too difficult to maneuver numbers properly," Hayes informed, and Leo smirked towards his son. "You sound like dad, he's been saying the same thing...And Jackson hasn't found his mate yet either."
"The little bubble in my ear says it'll happen soon." Of course, it left Luke to inhale quickly. The idea of war and the addition of finding a mate, left the possibility of Jack's mate being on the opposite side.

War meant the loss of potential mates, potential pups—A planned for future.

However, the progress of the Warriors, Enforcers, and pups was starting to grow with Sage's push in additional training sessions. And when the Luna found a break in between her own sessions, she would walk around the field, doing a similar scan to what she did for the Rogues who needed it through the rehabilitation program.

But what really warmed her heart was seeing her former students helping pack members, the energy around her was as strong as ever.
While she forgot who told her that she needed to keep morale high, she understood the basis of the idea of it meaning hope.

However, what really caught her attention was Blake training with Raven, and Sage didn't hesitate to sit in the grass and watch. They were a decent distance away from the rest of the sparing circles, but the second a small fireball had started within her palm, Sage's eyes widened.

However, it started out vibrant and strong, only to dwindle the longer Raven tried to contain it.

"Breath Raven, just like yesterday, keep the energy funneling down to the flame." Sage grinned at the way Blake was encouraging her, it was so sweet to see the male interact with his mate.

Kind and patient didn't cover the likes of Blake, and what really caught Sage's attention was the ring that was on Raven's left hand. The Luna wasn't unfamiliar with the idea of marriage, but wolves weren't as inclined to follow that human tradition. But she understood that there would usually be a mating celebration afterwards, for two families to come together and rejoice.

But Remus and her only had the Elwoods, and the idea of a party was left for the two of them to enjoy the other's company.

However, Raven's groan pulled Sage out of her building thoughts, as the witch was clearly getting aggravated on the lack of progress.

"Swee—"
"Don't. You're a wolf, everything comes to you so naturally that I—Just save it, Blake!" And off the witch went into the forest, hoping that the clarity of nature would help her think properly.
