The next day, I waited at the bus stop for Cindy. She still took the bus most days, if her mom or Elena's mom didn't drive her. I eagerly waited for her to approach the stop with me, so I could apologize and talk to her. I knew I was being rude yesterday. But I could make it up to her.

Of course, not to my surprise, I was waiting by myself. I guess Cindy got a ride to school.

I waited in my first period class at my seat for Cindy to come. Then, I would talk to her. I placed my notebook on my desk and pretended to work on my opening assignment for the class.

The bell rang, and Cindy finally walked in the class. I looked over at her, who was walking in with Elena and two other girls from their friend group. Cindy looked at me, and I offered a small, friendly smile. She quickly looked away, then sat down at her seat next to me, keeping her eyes focused anywhere but me.

The teacher began talking and writing on the board. Her eyes were glued to the board. I whispered to her, "Hey, I'm really sorry about yesterday."

She pretended to not hear me, so I just let it go for now and continued on my assignment.

Once lunch time came, I grabbed my tray of food and faced the cafeteria, my eyes scanning for the table with Cindy and her group of friends. Once I found them, I frowned. The table was completely full, no room for me to squeeze myself in.

I sat all alone at a table straight across from Cindy and Elena. A few other kids sat at this table too, but they were on the other end reading their books and eating their lunches.

I rested my chin on the palm of my hand, sighing. So far, the start of the day was rough. I couldn't talk to Cindy, it looked like she was purposely avoiding me.

I looked over and noticed Elena, Cindy and a few other girls looking over at me. I awkwardly looked over at them, too, taking a small bite out of my apple.

Towards the end of the day, I was at my locker getting my books. I basically went the whole day without talking to anyone, it reminded me of the time before Cindy came here. I was back to being all alone.

Jasmine, a close friend of Elena's walked up to me. At first, I thought she was going to say something but then I realized her locker was right next to mine. She had long black hair twisted in braids and darkened skin. She was one of Elena's closest friends. She was very pretty and popular too.

I decided to break the silence and say something without thinking. "Hey, uh, hi." I started. She turned to look at me whilst getting something out of her locker.

"Yeah?" She asked.

"Can you give this to Cindy for me next time you see her please?" I reached in my locker and pulled out a small piece of folded paper. I wrote a note for Cindy during lunch. An apology letter. Since she wasn't willing to speak with me.

She raised an eyebrow and grabbed the paper, unfolding it and reading it herself.

"I'm sorry, but, Cindy doesn't want to be friends with you anymore." Jasmine said. "She told us about you, how mean you are. She said she's trying to stay away from you. I'll try to give her this but I'm just telling you, she wants nothing to do with you." She said, folding the piece of paper again and slipping it in her pocket. She closed her locker, then turned on her heel and walked down the hallway.

I sighed, almost on the verge of tears. That's how our friendship ends? Just like that? I was mind blown. We just had a small argument, the only disagreement we ever had in the few months we've been friends. She got so upset when I told her how I felt about Elena. Something in the back of my mind told me that Elena is brainwashing her. Maybe I'm just crazy, but it's this feeling I have. Frowning, I walked to my last class of the day.
