There are those of us who can get back up after falling with a smile and a couple bruises. And those who see the world's horrors and become cold and resilient in order to survive. The green head was a mixture of both.

With nobody to turn to for comfort, nobody to smile to, the boy smiled for himself, and turned himself away from the desire of family and friends.

After practically two years of longing for an unreachable home, the realization that the home never truly wanted him should have left him unable to move on. But he had already survived on his own for two years, he had made himself a new home. And that was all the proof he needed to know that he was worth it. And in the end the confirmation that he wasn't wanted affirmed his suspicions and released him from the endless duty of trying to prove he was worth it to somebody who didn't even want him in the first place.

"I'm not Izuku Midoriya anymore... I'm... Just me. And nobody else, no ties holding me to anyone else." He spoke aloud, as if to confirm that he had nobody else, only himself.

Shaking his head and wiping away his tears he stood up on the roof of his home. "I'll never be alone, so long as I don't let myself go.

And with those words he gained a new goal. He no longer wanted to find things for his "mother", he was going to help himself. He would survive so that he could one day live.

"I can do it!" he yelled. And if anyone were listening they probably would have been reminded of some brave hero. As it was nobody was listening and had anybody seen the green haired boy they would have seen a tiny kid posing dramatically on top of a shipping container while crying.

(A/N: sorry for the incredibly short chapter, a couple of my friends are coming over and my room is an absolute mess. So operation: hide-everything-so-that-the-room-looks-moderately-clean, needs to begin)
