The flowers

I caught a glimpse,
Just slightly,
And I saw color.
The white sun,
Took on yellow.
The sky,
Baby blue.
And when I rushed to meet you,
I saw the world
For the first time.
Eyes wide,
Seeing more than the black
The grey, white.
You could see it too...

Day after day,
One time after another.
I loved you
I laughed for you
I dreamt for you.
If you build a
Relationship
On memories....I
Only needed about 10 good ones

I noticed your love...
Everything I had
was shaped by what
You gave me
And in the moment
I treasured you.
Not knowing what was about to happen.

You woke first.
It should of been me.
I left first.
It should have been you.
And if I were to give my soul out to you
It would have been lost...

I watched you add
Flowers to your vase,
And say you'll never let me see them wither
You promised...

The sun rose like always.
I went to work,
And rubbed my eyes...
When I opened them,

The color had left me
And so had you.

Our bed made empty,
The pillow you used
Deflated...
And the Flowers?

I didn't have the heart
To sweep the
Withered petals
Off the floor.
