So I fell behind again, no surprise. I'm not sure if I liked this one but I want to keep going soooooo here it is!

Once when was Pidge was five, she was picked on at kindergarten. She talked weird, she was smaller than everyone else and she definitely couldn't run as fast while playing tag. It was a rude awakening to a little girl who thought school was going to be amazing!

When she came home, she didn't say anything to anyone just went out to the garden, laid down and cried. Then she wiped her tears and went back into the house without saying anything. She was tough, a big girl. She also wasn't a snitch so, she just stayed quiet.

A few years later, when she was in 6th grade, she was the only girl not to get a Valentine from the boys. It was fine. All through the school day, she kept quiet and ignored the taunts. After school, she may have went out to the garden...to think.

Then right before she enrolled into the Garrison, she sat in the garden. Centered, planned, and ultimately finalized her goals. She always found it funny that she went to the garden which was her mom's solace when she didn't even like nature.

Upon return to Earth, she stopped back. Things were definitely different and she may have cried. Allura, friends, gosh, just processing everything was not fun. The garden was less of a Garden and more of a dirt pile but, habits were habits. And she found solace in just being in the same spot that she had before. She survived all those other times, even when the pain felt unbearable. She could do it again.

Now, five years out. Pidge was once again sitting in the garden. And while it did look like a garden again there with many different plants and flowers that were not originally from Earth. Sitting in the shade of a giant flower, she was staring at some pumpkins and other related fruits. <Crack>

Turning she was instantly pounced on by Kosmo. Laughing and smiling she hugs him tight. "Hey bud, whatcha doing here?"

Keith pulled off Kosmo and sat next to her, helping pull her up. "Hey Pidge."

"Hey."

Pidge unobtrusively rubs her face. No evidence is vital. "I thought you were staying with a friend?"

Keith nodded. "Well, yeah. I mean I hope its okay."

Pidge frowned, "Didn't you ask?"

"No, not exactly."

Pidge coughed, "Yeah, I'm sure it's fine. How long are you going to be in town?"

Keith groaned, "So, you aren't even going to ask me? Really? C'mon Katie, I thought we were friends at least."

Pidge blinked. Stuttering she got out, "I, I, I- don't, what-"

Keith covered her mouth with his hand and leaned in, "Lance-asked. If. I. Had. A. Girlfriend. Apparently I'm hot gossip."

Pidge felt her heart sink, and she kept her eyes downcast. Look a rolypoly.

Suddenly she was lifted up and sitting across Keith's lap. Her eyes flashed to his, when his hand cupped her neck and he placed his forehead against hers. "For the record...I don't...yet. So, do you wanna go out with me?"

Pidge blinked, and looking into his eyes, she finally realized, things were never as bleak as they seemed.
